Location is convenient to major highways. Room was clean and comfortable, appeared recently updated. Grounds could use some attention as some people traveling with animals have left their messes behind. It's shameful that some people traveling with pets have to make it difficult for others to do so by means of being inconsiderate/trashy.

This particular La Quinta is clean with terrific breakfast. Important, there is a great park with long trail less than 5 min drive from the hotel. Long morning walk much appreciated by our ridgebacks before hitting road again. Highly recommended.

The room was “ok”, ours was missing a hair dryer and had all kinds of mismatched shampoos, soaps, etc. & our door to our room did not lock, my husband had to work on it to get it to lock. The dog walk area was pathetic, very small and dirty and there was garbage all around the doors that you had to walk through to get to the only spot of grass behind the hotel, by the dumpsters. They put us right next to the lobby so our dog heard every noise of people coming and going and it was impossible to get him to settle down for the night because of all the noise. The only good thing was the breakfast which was excellent! I would not recommend, the Country Inn & Suits next door appeared to be much nicer and better kept up.

The room was a little stark but well appointed. We still can’t get used to no carpeting in a hotel room. No designated grassy area but there is some in front of the hotel. The breakfast was really good!

Very dog friendly, lots of grass at the hotel and lots of grass if you want to go for a walk. No carpeting, a plus in my book, the room was clean, and the breakfast was elaborate.

Not the finest hotel, but it’s clean. The service is good. It’s very dog friendly (which was my goal) for two large dogs. Price was great. Breakfast was barely passable, but it was free with the room… you get what you pay for. I’m sure I could have gone next door to Cracker Barrel if I wanted a better breakfast.

1. BringFido reservation was not in their system when we arrived. Fortunately they had a pet room available.
2. Room on first floor (w/adjoining room door)…felt like the ladies and dogs in the adjoining room were in our room the entire night. Could hear their conversations perfectly, every little morsel of dog food being poured into their bowls, etc. Had to have our TV on louder than normal to hear it over them.
3. Spotlights in the parking lot. Great! But not when it points right into the room (through cracks in the curtains).
4. Curtains were at the height of the AC so they blew whenever the fan was on, and then more light came in.
5. Beds were very firm.
6. Breakfast was pretty good.
7. Staff was nice.
8. Pet area was small but across the street was more grass for a nice walk.

Yay for no carpet!!! Got most of the essentials right and we slept well for one night. Friendly staff; good location; cozy bed sheets and comforter; cold AC; hot water. Unfortunately the walls and ceiling are very thin! We could hear next door's TV and alarm clock, and upstairs stomping around shook the walls. Also not a lot of green space for walkies.

Great spot for a one night, just passing through stay. The new tile and vinyl tech flooring are beautiful and pet friendly/versatile. We stayed in the king room with the pull out sofa. Our only "meh" about our stay was that pull out sofa was really meant for one, not two teens.

Friendly staff. There isn’t any dog treats offered as stated in description. Building is under construction as it is being remodeled. The doggy poop bag dispenser was empty, bring bags. Grass was plentiful out front and clean. The room is very nicely remodeled and doesn’t have carpet. The only reason for the lower score is that the walls are paper thin. Can hear people talking and traffic from the interstate. People staying here were fairly quiet, the hotel just has super thin walls. The parking lot and grass area has great lighting at night.

First time traveling with my dogs and staying at a hotel with them. I’ve got a big dog and a little one and this place was perfect for what we were looking for. Hard floors, doggie bags, plenty of grass for them to go out on. There was some construction going on at the hotel so it wasn’t fully together but other than that it was a good trip.

Snow had been plowed from parking lot but no cleared area to walk dogs or relief area. When we asked the front desk staff where the pet area was located she stated, "anywhere you can find grass". There was none! Also ants in the room, but it was a nice room with the exception of the thin walls.

Pet friendly and clean. Surrounded by a lawn strip. My only complaint is it was fairly noisy And I prefer rooms without carpet. Probably wouldn’t stay here again. I’d rather pay a little more for a better room. Also no treats or bowls provided which was in the description.

Clean hotel, accommodating staff and super nice shower! Only thing that I wasn’t aware of is that first let us free, second is $20/stay. No big deal, I may have missed the fine print, but just a heads up. Would stay here again!

The room was clean, well stocked and super comfortable bed. Perfect price! Just a heads up if you have a super alert pup like mine. The walls are really thin so he was growling throughout the night at other guests coming and going. Would definitely stay again!

This place is a literal pit. Once again some things can be overlooked due to the pandemic, but I could not even take a shower. I had to take a bath on the nasty no-slip cover in the tub. ICK! Towels and pillows etc were awful. I complained about the tub, but the sweet, young men at the desk wearing their masks half over their faces had no suggestions. Mt traveling companion just got another room. That was just wrong! We got out of Clive as fast as possible the next morning. NO BONES!

Easy on/off near IH35. Friendly staff. Next to Cracker Barrel. Hotel a little dated, but comfortable. Good area to walk a pet.

Conveniently located off the highway, clean and quiet rooms. Enough areas to walk to so that you and Fido can get your steps in. Plenty of nearby amenities to chose from to replenish, refresh, and recoup.

Driving cross country from Nevada to Maine might be daunting enough but with a dog can be a little more. Gotta stop more especially with an older doggy. With BringFido app, it’s made this journey AMAZING because I find great places to stay with my dog. This place was clean, quiet and comfortable. Plenty of grassy area for the pup potty! On to the next place!

Great place! We didn't have any issues. Our room was nice and staff was very accommodating. La Quinta is very pet friendly. We have 5 dogs, no pet fee or deposit has helped us tremendously because we are traveling cross country.

Dropped in here at sunset on a Saturday and had no trouble getting a room. Place was hopping with dogs, but everyone had theirs under control. Nice grass and trees in back with a waste station.
There are two restaurants within walking distance, at least one of which does take out (sadly their patio is not dog friendly).
Good stop on a road trip. Our young dog on his first trip barely noticed any noise.

We were very happy to arrive and find people coming in and out with many cute dogs - large and small. It was completely quiet overnight. Our room was clean and comfortable. We had a room with 2 full beds, which would be small if more than one person were sharing a bed, but were perfect for 2 separate adults and our 4 dogs (no extra dog fees!)

Stayed here overnight with our small dog. Yes, it was pet friendly, but it smelled terrible. Both our room and the entire second floor smelled very strongly like an old litter box. The window of our room was broken and would not lock. There was a stopper on it so that it could not open all the way, but there was plenty of room for a person to come in or child to fall out. I think it’s fair to expect basic security. The lobby was nice and breakfast food options ok but not great. I would not recommend this hotel.
