The experience was wonderful, very pet friendly. All staff members were kind, courteous, and professional. A few suggestions about this post for listing: offers valet parking (can be pricy being downtown), have to walk a small distance for grassy area for pets to relieve themselves, a few minor cosmetics in the room (i.e. trash bags, install a bathroom fan). Overall, I enjoyed my stay.

Everyone was cheerful and friendly. Treated both our two dogs and two kids very well. Also well placed for easy walking access to the city, parks and river walk. Our pups got to feel like real city dogs for a day. Room was very comfortable.

What a wonderful experience we had at Hotel Monaco! The staff is very friendly to both humans and dogs (2 large pups). The rooms are very clean and spacious. Very close to the riverfront and there is an amazing dog park about a 1/2 a mile away. We highly recommend staying here and can’t wait to come back!

We love that Kimpton allows dogs of any size. Our Hamish loved sitting in the window seats watching people outside on Chicago's River Walk.

We traveled to this hotel with 3 full grown golden retrievers and we’re very skeptical about staying in a hotel. but this place was AMAZING! So pet friendly!! The staff was amazing and loved the dogs. 10/10 recommend!!

We brought our 80 lb Alaskan Malamute with us to Chicago and was blown away at how dog friendly the staff was. This is a golden gem in a perfect location with a staff that is amazing. The truly know that dogs are family. This hotel is very close to the river walk and not far from an off leash dog park. I’ll be staying here every time I come to Chicago and I know I can always bring our girl Zoey! Thanks to this amazing hotel!!!

We stayed for labor day weekend with our two dogs and the service was amazing. They provide us food and water bowls, the staff was very friendly with us and our dogs. Very clean hotel and great location by the Riverwalk.

Very impressed. Great location, well-priced rooms, no pet fee, and very friendly to pets. Incredibly engaged and friendly staff. Definitely should be your number 1 with a pet in downtown.
We also came during COVID and they were very accommodating to the new COVID norm. Hand sanitizer on each floor, distancing, sanitized rooms, etc. Very Impressed.
FYI they don't provide parking. It was a little disappointing for us to find out. But they do give you a 50% discount at a local garage. If you do some research you will find that almost all the other downtown hotels don't provide parking either (or they charge themselves) and the parking they provide with the city garages is very reasonable/competitive ($25 a night at the time of our visit) Still gets the 5 bone rating!

This hotel was amazing. When we pulled up we had a little car issue after the long drive, they were extremely helpful and made sure we were safe and taken care of. Everytime we came and went the welcomed us or said goodbye to us by name (including our sweet little Yorkie, Joey). There was treat and water for pups in the lobby. Location on the hotel was amazing. We walked everywhere! We plan to go back and will stay here again.

One of my favorite hotels in Chicago, with or without a dog. Hotel Monaco is about 3 blocks from Michigan Avenue, very close to the Riverwalk (with some grass for your pooch), but smaller and friendlier than many other hotels in the area. They have dog treats and water in the lobby, and the hotel staff are pet friendly. We only spent one night here during a cross country road trip, but we will be back.

This hotel was very accommodating to my dog. They do ask you to sign a paper when arriving stating that you understand the rules which are pretty standard. Phoebe got a treat bag upon arrival. The staff was friendly and always greeted her. There is even food and water in the lobby for all of the hotel pooch guests. There were plenty of other dogs at the hotel and we were on the 4th floor so it wasn’t that long of an elevator ride when it was time to go outside. The Riverwalk is the closest place for your dog to go to the bathroom. My 15 year old cairn-poo handled the trek well, even in the 100 degree heat. This is a must stay if you and your fur baby are headed to Chicago.
