Upon check-in, was informed that dogs cannot be left alone in rooms. Some staff were very helpful and friendly while others were very unhelpful and even rude.

Nice hotel but we were on the 7th floor so getting out for potty breaks took some time as the hotel was crowded. We were treated well, but nothing extraordinary. There was a water dish and a container of biscuits in the lobby. There is good access to the Magnificent Mile and a 30 minute walk to the Navy Yard. There is a small dog area across the street which was convenient and a larger dog park 2 blocks away. For a large city hotel, it had what we needed and our pup seemed to like it. Valet parking is $79 night, and there is a self park across the street for $53 night—-expensive either way.

Staff was friendly. Stayed with two large dogs (50 lbs and 75 lbs) at no extra cost. Our reservation was for two queens, but staff said something happened and we ended up with a King and pullout couch. Not ideal, but that was the only issue. Still recommend!

We loved our stay at The Talbott. We’ve stayed at quite a few downtown hotels and the proximity to the dog park nearby is unbeatable. The staff was very friendly and the room was spacious so we never felt cramped. The area is super walkable. Will definitely consider staying again next time we’re in town.

The hotel itself was nice! They oversold the room we booked and therefore we didn't have two beds but instead a bed and a couch. They didn't offer any compensation for this error. We also had to request the dog extras and were told that they were inaccessible after a certain hour. They need to change that and place the items somewhere they can always be accessed like it is advertised. The hotel itself was clean and the doorman Charlie was FANTASTIC!

Stopped here on a cross- country trip. Great hotel near dog park, beach and Navy Pier. Clean room, comfortable bed, awesome shower. Staff very helpful with all our bags which were hard to manage with the dog. Place to walk the dog right across the street and self- parking around the corner. Hotel staff very accommodating. Dogs first ride on an elevator was pretty funny to watch! All staff and guests were very nice to us and our dog. Would stay here again if I return to Chicago.

My dog and I were welcomed warmly by Charles the doorman and the young lady who checked us in. Great location and we enjoyed several walks along the lake and Gold Coast neighborhood. Spacious room for me and my Golden Retriever, Bodie.

This hotel is in an AH-mazing location downtown. VERY walkable area. All within a mile or less of a couple of the best pizza places in the city, shopping, brunch.. all types of food. Plenty of bars and nightlife walkable or a short lyft. The staff is amazing! So accommodating! So nice!
We rented a junior suite (myself, my daughter and her bf plus our 2 large 70+lb dogs). PLENTY of room for us all. There was a slight mix up though as BringFido app said it was a king bed with a twin Murphy bed. The Murphy bed is the king (it does sit very low to the ground if u are disabled maybe check for a different type of bed) and there was no twin in the room we got. They do however have junior suites with a king and a twin but the Murphy bed is the king so once u book the suite. Call the hotel and let them know ur needs. This mixup was very easily and quickly corrected as the hotel provided us with a twin rollaway for no extra charge. It seems like an older hotel that' s been upgraded...live the aesthetic! Loved the murphy bed. So cute! Great view. AND to top it all off they're very dog friendly ...no extra fees for more dogs etc.
The street the hotel is on is on is not super busy ..which is nice for walking and crossing the street with the dogs. There'd a small little corner park literally across the street for quick potty trips and then a bigger unofficial (unfenced) park for walking the doggos for longer potty trips.. there's also a fenced dog park maybe 10 min drive from the hotel in the middle of the city...amazing views.. FYI lakeshore dog park. :-)
Only down side is the parking is street parking or garage. The one officially for the hotel is like $50-55 /day. But the front desk kindly explained to me an app that finds cheaper garages in the city. Very close. So on the other side of the block was a garage I found much cheaper ...be careful though when u book it to be sure that it is an "in and out" location if u plane on driving anywhere. I know this is a long review but I can't say enough good things!! We will be back!!

There is a dog park within 3 minutes walk from the lobby. Many people with dogs around. The hotel itself is spacious, clean, and relaxing. You’ll find many dog friendly restaurants and dining within quick walking distance. It’s also only a 1.3 mile walk in the to Navy Pier. Stop at Milton Lea Olive Park on your way if you decide to go. Wonderful dog friendly location and hotel.

Unfortunately we did not receive any treats, beds or bowls, but it's already a plus finding a hotel that doesn't charge any extra pet fees and close to a park to walk your dog.
