Southern Elegance Main House
Southern Belle Vacation Rentals in Savannah, GA, and Tybee Island, GA provides first-class amenities. All of our homes are professionally cleaned after each stay, and disinfected using a quaternary disinfectant throughout the entire property prior to each new arrival.
Have it all! Southern Elegance is a beautiful historic home located in the Savannah Historic District and near renowned Forsyth Park. It has been professionally updated, designed and decorated and has everything you need to make your stay in Savannah one to remember. Offering four bedrooms and four bathrooms, this lovely carriage house can sleep a total of sixteen guests in 3450 square feet. Southern Elegance also stands out in terms of what it offers for outdoor living. It has a cozy, Savannah-style front porch with its own Live Oak & Spanish Moss view, a screened-in side porch, and to top it off, a courtyard with a saltwater pool, palm trees, and outdoor fireplace.
The courtyard is shared with the one-bedroom carriage house on the back of the property. Create your own private compound by renting the carriage house in addition to the main house.
Spacious & Fabulous: The first floor includes two separate living areas: a lovely front parlor, as well as a sitting room in the back of the home with television. The formal dining room can seat 14 comfortably. And the well-equipped gourmet kitchen includes a butler's pantry, wine refrigerators, ice maker, two dishwashers, and more. There's also a lovely half bath on the first floor.
The second floor includes three bedrooms and two full baths. Each bedroom has a historic mantle with non-working fireplace. The master bath includes a claw-footed tub and a separate oversized shower with two shower heads. There is also a porch off the master bath. The second bath includes a tub with shower.
The third floor is its own suite – including a king-sized bed, living area, wet bar, and full bath.
Southern Elegance is steps away from one of Savannah's best-rated coffee shops and bakeries and a short walk to the grocery store for all your last-minute needs.
Parking: Southern Elegance includes a garage. There is also usually plenty of parking available right in front of the house.
Historic Charm: The house was built in 1892 for Frederick Wessells and maintains that Savannah historic charm, while providing you with space for everyone and modern décor and amenities you'll cherish during your stay. Enjoy the five historic mantles (non-working fireplaces) throughout the house, the original duel fuel light fixtures in the living room and dining room, the original kitchen hutch now located adjacent to the butler's pantry, and many other historic features that give Southern Elegance it's wonderful charm.

At the Southern Elegance Main House, the first item on your itinerary may be exploring Forsyth Park. You can reach this park easily by walking west on East Hall Street from this rental. Once there, you can explore the trails, gardens and picnic areas. There's even a cafe near the park if you want a bite to eat. Tybee Island is one of the top extra excursions for guests of our Savannah vacation homes. It's easy to see why the moment you arrive. Tybee Island is a cozy barrier island to the east of Savannah. It includes a long stretch of beach on the Atlantic Ocean as well as beaches at the Savannah River mouth and the banks on the west. You can generally explore the island in a day with the Tybee Lighthouse and Marine Science Center being the most popular attractions. There are other activities as well, including water sports, bike rentals, marsh treks and dolphin-watching charters.
