The staff was dog friendly and they gave us a room on the main floor. There was no dog welcome kit but the room was spacious and clean. There is no hot buffet but they provided a breakfast box.

We stayed for a week with our standard poodle and kids. There was a mat in the room to put our dog dishes on , which was nice. They made us sign a very strict no noise policy allowing them to kick us out with no notice if the dog barked. That made me really uncomfortable. But we'd come all the way from Virginia, so it's not like we had many options in the peak season. The night we checked in there was some sort of school trip booked in the hotel and they were very noisy. We were on the first floor, and there was no carpeting on the floor, which was different than I'm used to. There was a small computer provided, which was nice. It helped us for googling attractions and planning our days. But the keyboard was strange. The top row had 3 different functions instead of 2 and we couldn't figure out how to make the 3rd row of characters work. The beds were really firm. The maids were great and left fresh toiletries every morning, including cotton swabs! We didn't really spend that much time in the room, so it worked fine for us. Just beware if you've got a barker.

This may be their new policy, but the front desk made it very clear that dogs are not allowed to be left alone in the hotel room (usually, at worst, we’re asked to leave a contact number). This worked fine for us since it was patio weather and Quebec has many dog-friendly restaurants, but be warned for the cooler months. We did appreciate the dog welcome package, and the room was quite cozy.

Spent 2 days in Quebec City. Le Dauphin was a fantastic choice. Reasonable price. Tremendous room (105) -- tv, microwave, fridge, a computer, plenty of outlets in a clean space... Very dog-friendly.. Front desk enthusiastically greeted my husky, and the hotel left a dog kit in the room.... Also, good breakfast and complimentary laundry room... Location is very good: quick drive up the highway to Montmorency Falls.. Another reasonable drive to Old Quebec... (the helpful guy at the front desk printed directions to both sites, including suggestion for parking)... Next to Tim Horton's, plus quick drive to tons of different places...Convenient.. Overall, everything I'm looking for... Would definitely return!
