  Can't wait to stay again!

  This is a very nice hotel in a good location in the Garden District in New Orleans. The staff is great, and they really seem to like dogs. They make you feel very welcome. They remembered our pup's name and would call him by name whenever they saw him. The rooms are really nice and super clean, with exceptionally comfortable beds. They have secure on-site parking which is a huge plus, given how difficult parking is to come by in this part of town. Breakfast was great, and they have tables outside at which you can sit with your pup to eat your breakfast. The side street has a wide grassy area between the two lanes with sidewalk, forming a narrow park, which is a great place to potty your pup.

  They said the rooms with the better view were not pet friendly and the restaurant is not pet friendly. Staff was friendly.

  Classy Elegance

  Luxurious hotel in a safe location. The friendly staff greeted our dogs at check-in. The hotel’s “gated” free parking lot was a huge plus, especially in New Orleans. Loved the front patio area with lots of tables and seating; making it the perfect place to eat breakfast and dine with the dogs (excellent restaurant adjacent to the hotel provided take-out food and adult beverages). The hotel served a full and filling breakfast, which included fresh fruit.

  Our room was on the second floor, with elevator access. The room was large, extremely clean, with comfy beds and pillows, refrigerator/freezer, coffee machine with both coffee and tea k-cups. The decor was classic elegance. Very fast and reliable Internet, and great TV reception. The location was prefect. Trolly stop was outside the front entrance, and an easy walk to shopping and restaurants on Magazine Street. I felt very safe taking the dogs out to do “their business” in the predawn hours and late at night. There was an abundance of well-lit, grassy areas surrounding the hotel and lots of receptacles to dispose of poop bags. On our 2 week road trip with multiple hotel stays, the St Charles was by far our favorite dog friendly hotel.

  Quiet spot in big, busy city

  We were there before Mardi Gras. Nice room, gated parking lot, small grassy area for our dog.

  Awesome stay!

  Great little hotel. Free private parking, which is HUGE. Well-appointed rooms with bottled water, Keurig machine, and local coffee pods (Community Coffee). Comfy bed, great TV, easy remote (for some reason we have been having major issues with remotes at hotels lately, and Mama’s gotta have her Forensic Files to fall asleep at night!). Staff was lovely. A couple tips if you stay here: Once you park, you need to go back around to the front entrance on St Charles if you get there after 11pm. Also, we stayed in Room 211 and something, I think maybe the air compressor(?), was outside the window and super loud when it switched on. It didn’t bother us, but if you’re a light sleeper, keep that in mind. Other than that, there were no sounds from the hallway, really good sound insulation in the room. All in all, an excellent hotel stay, highly recommended!

  Lovely Place

  We so enjoyed our stay at the St. Charles Inn in New Orleans. The location in the Garden District was attractive and quiet. The room had a cozy comfy ambiance that you don’t often find. Our dog, Mo, loved all the staff, especially Angela, who was able to retrieve my jacket that I left in the restaurant the night before. We’d love to stay there again!

  Quick Stop

  We needed a place to rest with the pups overnight & I was pleasantly surprised with this place. The staff was very accommodating and nice. And the room was great for the pups and very clean. There was also a ton of areas for them to potty outside which is always a plus. I would recommend this place!

  Decent stay away from the bustle of NOLA

  It was a nice clean hotel overall. Staff is very unhelpful and nonchalant when you have questions or problems. Plumbing is slow which is to be expected. Good location for dogs lots of green areas and can walk around. There’s a Mexican restaurant next to the hotel that serves good food. The streetcar was broken all day we were there so we had to Lyft to Bourbon Street.

  Loved!!

  Our dog friendly room was great and has everything you need. The building has so much character and it's in a great location with a great restaurant just downstairs. And the Trolly stop is just across the street and only a 15 min ride to Bourbon street. The staff was so friendly and helpful. They didn't even mind that my dogs liked to talk(bark) 😳. Definitely coming back!

  Recommended. Nice stay and great staff.

  Accepts more than 2 pets which is a plus for us as we have 3 dogs ranging in size from 25 to 75 pounds. All the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Not much on grounds to walk your pets however there is a small grassy area next door and plenty of neighborhood to walk around in. Trolley runs right in front of the hotel. Restaurant and bar next door. This is a renovated 1927 hotel. Great location. Will stay here again!

  Great for exploring New Orleans

  Just spent 4 nights in this hotel. Its really great for people and dogs. There’s a green space next to the hotel for doggy relief, free secured parking, and free to go breakfast. its also directly next the Garden District which is a great place to walk the dog and explore New Orleans history. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. And directly on the streetcar line. We left our dog in the room and took the streetcar down to the french quarter. This place was an excellent home base for New Orleans. would stay again 100%.

  Great Location

  It was really easy to get to the French Quarter by trolley which picks you up right in front of the hotel. The staff were very friendly to us and our pets and even gave them a box of cookies and they put water on the front patio for the pups. The rooms are very spacious and clean. We'll definitely return.

  Wonderful Pet Friendly Hotel

  We stayed at the St. Charles Inn for three night in May 2020. The hotel staff ooh'ed and aww'ed over my dog every time we went through the lobby to do our "doggy business". I highly recomment Best Western Plus St. Charles Inn when traveling with your "best friend"! Oh.... and he loved the treats that they keep at the front desk for their "fido guests". Thank you St. Charles Inn!

  Great location

  Great location in the Garden District. Streetcar stops in front of hotel. However, because of the Hardrock building collapse none of the streetcars are running. But you only have to walk 10 yards down to catch a bus. They have put extra buses on to make all stops the streetcar would have made. No problem. The personnel at the hotel were great, very personable and accommodating. They loved my dog and gave her lots of pets and treats. Beware there is no property around the hotel for your dog’s business nor bags available. You need to walk the neighborhood which is the lovely Garden District. We enjoyed our walks looking at all the beautiful homes.

  Great Location

  We stayed 2 nights and were very happy with the hotel. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast had something for everyone's taste. The hotel was very clean and smelled good. We enjoyed the gated parking lot instead of having to valet park. As a dog owner, I was concerned about where I could safely walk my dog in the city. No problem here! There were lots of grassy area's right by the hotel. I would rate them 5 bones but the room was very small. We were 3 people plus a Yorkie and the room was better suited for 1 or 2 people.
