Would have been great as there is an outdoor to the back but was not told when we booked or when we arrived that they were under construction and the door was bolted shut. Our dog just was diagnosed with autoimmune disease and she is coming off of steroids which make her drink and pee a lot, so it was many trips through the hallway in the middle of the night. Other than that, it would have been great.

This place was not as advertised. The pool was closed and we were not informed until check-in was complete! Then the dog-friendly room with the access door to “green area” for dogs was not accessible. I couldn’t even open the door to get my dogs outside because snow was so high and not shoveled. I requested a refund at checkout very shortly after arriving due to these conditions and have yet to receive one or even a response from management. Don’t waste your money here!

Stayed here 3 nights with my dog. Won't be back unless it's a last resort. Was on 2nd floor in a room with a strange smell and window screwed shut. Staff was very nice. Place could of been cleaner.

Convenient location for need, but hotel condition is starting to fall below average. The place was recently renovated, but is already starting to show wear and tear without proper repair. Hallway door lock and safety latch were broken; 1st floor outside patio door would not close all the way; bathroom caulking was missing and floor was dirty; room smell was very bad from deodorizer they used to cover up smokers who used the patio. The room smell was so bad we had to turn the heat off and sleep with window open in 35-deg weather. Shame ... used to be a really nice place, and hopefully will be again when times are better.

We recently had to travel to the Brunswick area on short notice. Not only were we looking for a night's stay on a summer weekend in Maine but we would also be traveling with our dog. Many of the hotels listed on the site were either booked or were charging an outrageous amount for a one night stay. I found the Best Western on the site but had to contact the hotel directly to check on availability. They had a room available, the rate was comparable to similar hotels in the area, and the pet fee was reasonable. Check-in was quick and easy and our room was located on the ground floor with access to the side entrance which made it easy to take our dog in and out. The room was large, comfortable and most importantly, clean. The grassy area around the hotel was perfect for dog walks. Our stay included a complimentary breakfast with a good selection. We have stayed in other "pet friendly" hotels where we're usually put in a room in a remote part of the hotel that lingers with the odor of other pets that have stayed there. This place is by far the best we've experienced. We will definitely return whenever we are in the Brunswick area.
