Visitors find the Drury Inn & Suites Columbia Stadium Boulevard to be a clean, comfortable, and pet-friendly hotel with friendly staff. Some travelers note the limited outdoor space for dog walking could be improved, but overall they recommend the hotel and would stay there again.
Room was wonderful, quiet and clean. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was a definite plus. Four bones rather than 5 because it was very difficult to find a place to walk our pup except along a very busy highway. Despite the lack of dog walking areas, would definitely stay here again.
Our room was comfortable and very clean. Hotel staff welcomed us warmly, including our pets. I was worried when our dogs barked but a neighboring room said they couldn’t hear anything. Our room was located on the second floor and staff made sure to tell us the easiest way to access the room. We were able to park just outside the second floor entry door and had a short walk to our room, with no elevators. There is a fridge so you can store refrigerated dog food. Overall it was a super comfortable and welcoming place to stay with our two small dogs.
All was good. For those that worried about doggie walking areas, the grass extends around the restaurant next door and opens into a nice area for the pooch.
There are two Drury hotels in Columbia (Drury Inn and Drury Plaza Hotel. We stayed in the Drury Inn and there was very little outdoor space for our medium sized dog, while the Drury Plaza Hotel (we stopped by next day) has load of green space. Like a lot of you, this was a quick late night cross-country stop over and the Drury Inn facility was fine and the staff (what we saw of them) great. Try to get a room over looking the parking lot and hot the busy road.
I will stay here again. Great accommodations. Easy access outside to pet area. Clean, safe area. Bery comfortable bed. Bonus was dinner and free drinks at night and nice breakfast in the AM.
Drury Inn delivered on all that it promised. It was in a good location near the interstate and food options. The room was clean. My dog was treated very nicely and welcomed through out our stay. The only downside was that our room was located near the indoor pool and we could hear kids in there until it closed. Overall, still a good find for staying with a pet while on the road.
We absolutely enjoyed this place as the room was big enough for us as a pack to spread out and have a good nights sleep. The friendly were excited to check us in and explain all the pet guidelines. Based on our dog having issues was the stairs sometimes, we were approved to us the elevator. (guidelines state stair usage as the only place for dogs). The main reason I didn't give them 5 stars is they do not provide an area to go potty. While there is grass on two sides of the building, the strip of grass is very small and super close to a busy intersection. Our dog was OK using this area late at night when little to no cars were present -- by early morning, the section was too bust for her so she refused to approach the grass area.
Everyone that we encountered on our stay were as nice as could be. The only reason that I am not giving five bones is that there is only a small strip of grass dedicated to the dogs and it is located between the parking lot and the busy road (Stadium Blvd) this area had me really thinking about the safety of taking my dog there in order for her to go potty. When I read online that they had a designated area for the dogs, I thought it was a fenced off area, but instead it was just a strip of grass just a few feet wide and it was right by a very busy road.
