Easy place to stop with no issues. Was under construction but the staff was great. Clean and no problems with having a pup here. Right across from the beach and can leave in room to go check out some casinos and get a snack.

Several dogs here with many guests.

Several families were with dogs here. They don't make a big deal out of the walking relief area. It's just a spot of grass out back but works well.

Although rooms could use a bit of updating and thorough cleaning, it was comfortable and a great location. The front desk staff was awesome! Also, the door bar for extra security was broken, but we felt safe there, so no worries. Lots of space to walk dog with beach right across the street.

So I need to say upfront that there is nothing wrong with this place. It's a little older, and maybe it could use a bit of polishing. I have no idea whether it has wifi. The pet fee was reasonable. We had a guy try to get into our room in the middle of the night--he wasn't trying to break in, he just was positive that was his room. While it was bizarre, I do not fault the Edgewater Inn for that.
There is a Waffle House in the parking lot of the hotel and your room key gets you 10% off, so that's worth considering if Waffle House is your thing. I thought the bed and room were good enough. There was a small fridge and a microwave. The shower was clean, and the water was hot. We really didn't come looking for more than a clean, safe bed. It is also about 300 yards from the beach. That is really handy. It is also one of a very small number of places that accept dogs at all.
For the price, this place is absolutely worth considering.
