OK property - clean updated room but outside hallways and elevator area needed a good cleaning. Still, everything worked and property was dog friendly. Management thoughtfully planted many annuals on the grounds and that was nice. Still, could use some TLC.

My room was very clean my dog was treated nice. No pet fee. The front desk people were great, total opposite of the Residence Inn Downtown which I left. Better price and much better management.

For a 2 star hotel, this was pretty decent. We opted for a “premium room.” It was clean and spacious and decently kept up. The area seemed safe enough. The staff was nice enough to give us a ground floor room for easy access with the dogs. My only complaint was that the walls and ceilings were really thin. We could actually hear people peeing in the toilet and using the sink above us but we just ran the fan in the room all night and it was fine. No pet fee was a HUGE BONUS!

There was no shower curtain, holes in the wall behind door in room, bathroom door wouldn’t close and stay shut and the frame on the mirror in the bathroom was peeling. Asked front desk clerk for recommendations for food near there and was told to google it.

This place wasn't the BEST place we've ever stayed, but the beds were comfy and the staff was nice. The bathroom was a bit rough, but everything worked. We slept well and they did not charge extra for our pups! We would stay again.

While the reviews looked very good, we ended up with an ADA room. The bathroom had no countertop on which to store things. The sink drain was very slow. The room was just ok. Good area to walk the dog. Friendly people at the front desk. I would not stay there again.

The Red Roof in Columbus, OH is very close to the University. Unfortunately, this Red Roof appears to be in a not so good neighborhood. There were people hanging around the building and the parking lot that looked a little scary. We were happy to have a place to sleep with our dog but I would probably not go back there. The reception people were very nice and professional.

The room was clean and it was nice they put us in a room on the corner with no one next to us which was awesome. This is the first place I’ve stayed with my dogs that we all were able to sleep due to minimal noise. They also do not charge a pet fee!!! Thank you red roof!

Got a ground floor room perfect for letting the pup out quick, but it was pretty noisy. For a dog already in an unfamiliar location, the constant noise did cause some anxiety.

The hotel was clean but the room is really small. We were walking on top of each other getting ready in the morning! I guess you get what you pay for. It was relatively quiet. The reception desk is closed and they are using a security window which feels sketchy.

We picked this hotel for its lack of size policy and no pet fee. We have a 100 lb walker hound and a 50 lb blue tick so the fees can add up and there’s no passing them off as small dogs. The room was very nice and clean, had laminate floor in the room. My one dog is afraid of laminate floor since she had a hard time walking on with her broken leg years ago (full recovery but just has issues with fear now) not the hotels fault but a warning for others who may also have dogs sensitive to flooring issues. Lol. My hounds can be heard throughout the valleys so the thin walls worried me when we got there late at night, no one said anything but I just hate to be that person.
Overall good hotel with a lot of grass and fencing between the grass area and the road made us feel safer using the area.

The room was fine for the price. Safe neighborhood. The only problem we had was under the bed. Our dog kept finding little crumbs and treasures under the bed that I had to take away from her. One item was what looked like a vitamin E gel pill. Lucky I got it away from her before she are it!

The staff was very friendly. The room was very clean. We were placed on the ground floor which was very convenient. The standard size room was a bit tight with the kennel but we made it. Next time I believe we will opt for the larger room if available. The motel is located right next to a MacDonald's which was very handy.

Small but updated room. Lots of green space around the motel to walk your dog. Friendly staff. Restaurants nearby. Pretty quiet neighborhood. Get a room on the 1st floor — the elevator is out of service.
