  Very close to the interstate

  The room was very nice however the hotel is so close to the interstate that noise from the traffic (a lot of semis) was extreme. If you stay here bring a sound machine or download an app on your phone to block the noise. It was so loud it seemed that the windows were open. The fan on the air conditioner did not block the noise. Room was on the 3rd floor. There is an elevator & we were near the exit to the outside stairs which helped. The lobby & breakfast area were under construction so breakfast was a brown bag with a frozen breakfast sandwich, water and pre packaged muffins.

  Terrible hotel

  The check-in was fine. The motel has exterior doors. My wife had concerns over the clients in the parking lot while I was registering. The room smelled of old cigarette smoke, the secondary security device was missing and you could tell that it was removed with force. The key swipe door lock and the dead bolt looked new. The room needed to be cleaned more. We did not stay long enough to see if the bathroom was working properly. The room temperature controller was missing off the base plate. The heat and ac were controlled from the local panel, which part of a discussion between a client and the night manager. We went to eat before unloading the car and decided to move on to another location closer to our destination. We went back to return to keys and while we were checking out, a local sheriff deputy said he wouldn’t stay there either. We made reservations at the Baymont in Indianapolis where we stayed 2 years ago and enjoyed our stay there even during COVID.

  Don’t look too close

  The pictures posted on the site look nothing like what actually exists. The pool was dirty. No chairs sitting out but dirty towels laying on tables. Later the pool was being drained. Paint was peeling off the ceiling in the corridors outside and exposed missing fixture. Peeling paint in our room on the ceiling. Our room smelled of stale smoke and no coffee maker The bathroom and bedding was clean. The lobby looked nothing like the pictures and wasn’t clean either and had awful food odor. We had prepaid or else we would not have stayed. I was disappointed because we have stayed at Baymont Hotels in the pass and they have been very nice. I guess the name means nothing anymore. Should have read the reviews. My bad

  Meh

  Our dog was fine, but the humans were not impressed. I had to wait 10 minutes for the receptionist to come to the desk. Then it took her 10 minutes to find my reservation. I had to show her on my phone that I had called merely 3 hours before! The room was not very clean, and there were guys partying in the parking lot, gathered around a truck with open containers. Even our DoorDash driver expressed concern about them! My husband did like the free breakfast in the morning. In summary, if you are desperate for a dog friendly place for the night, this is fine, but otherwise not recommended.

  Good Location, Pet Friendly

  In our way from MO to DC we couldn’t find a hotel anywhere that took dogs, let alone a 100lb dog. When we finally found Red Lion they were truly a blessing. Very pet friendly, gave us ground floor room! Pet fee was only $30. Over all very happy with the stay and would recommend
