      Noisy and dirty pet area

      There were great things about this hotel. The rooms had laminated flooring which was great for doggy feet and made wiping up water and sand easy. There was also a ceiling fan in the room which was also a plus. The room itself felt clean, but the patio was dirty and didn't appear to have been wiped down in sometime. I had brought disinfectant wipes, due to covid and wiped it all down. It was pretty dirty. TV is VERY basic cable and you cant concect a Ruko box or fire stick due to how their internet connection works. Never had that happen at any hotel before. That was frustrating. Rainy and with covid spent a good deal of time in the room, had planned to relax, look at the ocean and watch movies.
      As nice as it was to have laminated in the rooms, the halls were also laminate and the stairs concrete. Very noises with a huge echo. You could hear everything from every where throughout the hotel. It was awful and unsettling to our dog. Even after quiet time of 10PM you could hear guests coming and going trying to be as quiet as possible.
      The outside pet area was pretty gross. The grass hadn't been mowed in some time. Both my dog and I both stepped in poo as you couldn't see were it was in the tall grass. The pet waste bin was overflowing when we arrived and was never emptied throughout our whole stay. Pretty gross and smelly. All the trash along the promenade was emptied daily by the city. But the hotel never emptied theirs.
      It is a pet friendly hotel for sure andhad lots of pets and families as guests. Has a great view of the ocean, as long as you are on at least the 2nd floor. 1st floor is a sort of daylight basement. Patio is looks straight out on the prom sidewalk. I had to pay for an extra upgrade to get a room on the second floor. Staff was friendly and attentive to guest needs. But do to noise and lack of cleanliness dont think I would stay here again.
