Pleasant experiences with all the times we’ve stayed at La Quinta. Friendly/knowledgeable staff, clean room (upgraded king suite), and standard breakfast affair. It’s close to a lot of food options that stay open fairly late, which is convenient. Locating the entrance to the inn is difficult at night as the entrance is not well-lit/signaled.

On night one, Our across the hall neighbor had a dog as well. While I was out to dinner the dogs exchanged some barks as they were excited to be around each other, causing a noise complaint. Because of this we could not leave the dog in the hotel room alone (per the rules) this caused us to have to change all dining and festivities to accommodate a dog. We have lived in apartments for two years now and have never had a complaint about our dog barking at times. It would have been cheaper to leave our snuggle monster at home with a pet sitter. We have traveled with her plenty visiting houses and this is turning me off pet friendly hotels.

I will completely agree that this is a dog friendly hotel (including not having any extra charge for having a pet), which is convenient to the airport, restaurants, and Pittsburgh in general. However, the hotel is run down, unkept, smelly, and dirty. I also waited for 5 to 10 minutes for the front desk lady to finish her cigarette before she came to check me in. The room smelled as bad as a kennel. We had to ask for towels because housekeeping didn’t service our room. And some of the other guests didn’t clean up after their dogs outside. I would rather be up-charged to bring a dog to a more expensive hotel than stay at this hotel again. The only reason I am not giving 1 bone for the rating is because the hotel IS dog friendly, and that is the only reason.

The gentleman working the front desk when we checked in was very kind and helpful. The rooms are OK, not anything special. They're old, outdated, the beds aren't really comfortable, and the sheets feel like a step up from fine grain sandpaper. The breakfast was scarce, no apple juice, crap coffee, and the waffles tasted off with a weird after taste. Service was great though and staff was friendly. This is our third stay here and we'll come back bc of the price and the no big dog fee, but other than that.. it's kinda lacking.

Stating overnight for the Holiday. We wanted to stay in the area visiting family. The room was clean and comfortable. No frills but our dogs had what they needed and location was perfect.

We have tried several pet friendly hotels and Airbnb’s, and this stay was our best! Great location, easy access to freeway and food, quiet, and very comfortable. Our room included a microwave and mini fridge, staff was friendly, and our room was near an exit… perfect for taking out the pup. Will stay again and recommend.

We were just there overnight on a complicated interstate move. First time taking our dog to a hotel. No issues at all on the pet friendly nature of the location, hotel, or room. Room was in good condition. Good experience!

The front desk was super friendly and were very welcoming towards our dog and cat. My opinion might be a little skewed since the hotel we stayed at the night before was so horrendous that being treated decently seemed just that much greater. The room was clean and spacious and right by the back entrance so it made getting our two animals and our stuff to and from the car so much easier.

The staff was very attentive to both my dogs and our needs. Despite the winter conditions, the outside grounds were clean and the walking area was clear of any animal waste. ample supply of waste bags were provided. We were assigned a ground floor very close to the exits to allow for quick access to the dog walk areas.

We stayed with our two large (50 lbs) dogs and were very pleased. Room was clean and the staff was great. My partner caught a bad cold and they gladly helped us to stay another night so she could rest. My one suggestion would be to fence in the large dog area so the dogs can run off leash. It's such a beautiful spot that if it were fenced and exclusive to guests, then the hotel would be dog perfect!
