Felt safe. Mostly clean but lots of things didn’t work or work well. Key card worked fine on exterior door, but took many (>10) tries to get the room door open. Neither bathroom sink nor shower drains drained well. Shower set off the smoke alarm. Lots of grass and nice front desk staff.

The service here was very friendly. The room was clean. Hotel was nice. The grassy area was in the front of the hotel. Not a big deal for my dog though, she will do her business on rocks or grass.

Dog rooms are on the 1st floor. The main entrance is actually on the 2nd floor. There is an entrance on the first floor. But it brings you to a back parking lot with no grass and very sketchy people hanging out at all hours. There is a "dog area" that is rocks and trash. My dog will not go there. And it isn't safe. I ended up having to walk my pup to the front, which is a walk when your pup has to pee! My dog is super friendly, but on this trip, he scary barked at so many people that were hanging outside. I actually did not feel safe walking the pup outside at night.
Only plus I can say, is that there is a doggy daycare next door. So if that is something you need, it is available. We did not need it. So I cannot comment on its quality. But we will not be returning to this hotel. - ErinJun 23, 2020Great value stay
Nice stay for the price. The room was clean and appeared recently renovated. We got a room that you can access from the rear of the building which was nice because we didnt have to walk the dog through the whole hotel. There is a small pet relief area to the side of the building and some grassy areas to the front. No pet fee is nice as is the ability to leave well behaved dogs in crates unattended if needed.

This La Quinta is head and shoulders above the other pet-friendly hotels I've stayed in. The pet rooms are on the bottom floor with its own entrance and parking area. The rooms have vinyl plank flooring and the rooms were recently refreshed.
Our room was spotless, smelled fresh and no other pet owners were on our end of the floor. It made for an extremely comfortable stay for both our dog and us.
One negative is that the hotel's outdoor pet area is pretty bad. Its just a gravel patch. Fortunately, adjacent property has a large grassy area and some bushes that my dog favors.
The hotel employees could not be nicer and they seem to actually like having pets around.
I give the Warwick La Quinta a full five bones as a great place for Fido (and people too!)
