I checked in at Days Inn, at a plexie glass window, and was told they were "under construction." They said they changed me to a "non smoking" room. I could still smell smoke. There was no phone and no Wi-Fi in the room. The smoke detector was beeping. I went back out in the rain to report this and the young attendant, gave me a 9 volt battery, I told him I could not reach the smoke detector without a ladder. I did not feel safe and called the reservation number to change to a different pet friendly hotel. It took me almost an hour after 3 disconnects to get another hotel nearby. I had to forfeit the first night's cost. NO ONE SHOULD GO THROUGH THIS. UNACCEPTABLE HOTEL.
