Having an older large dog, I requested a first floor room near an exit door. I got exactly what I asked for the room was very clean and comfortable. The check-in was quick and very polite. Good area to walk the dog around. I highly recommend this Holiday Inn.

Extremely nice morning and evening desk/breakfast staff. The room and bathroom were clearly in need of repair and obvious removal of dirt on walls and floor. The sheets were laundered but still had previous dog hair and fibers evident. The mini fridge was making a lot of noise because it needed defrosting. The grout needed replacement and cleaning. Tub didn’t have working drain and the bathroom fan had dirt hanging from it. The tv worked well and the mattress was okay. Charging outlets didn’t work or were damaged except for one in a new lamp. Morning coffee was good: hot and not watery.

Got stuck on Interstate for over 5 hours due too an accident. Already paid for my room but had to pay for another room when I got there at 4am.

We were driving to Knoxville on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 in the late evening. We had earlier confirmed directly with the hotel that we had a reservation. At 1pm we spoke to the hotel: they told us that they were overbooked by 10 rooms, and that since we were ONLY an IHG club member status we could not have our reserved room, that was their POLICY. We were told we had a reservation but no room. This has never happened to us before. When I spoke to the manager they indicated a mistake was made. Somebody was lying. We will never stay at a Holiday Inn again because of this experience. This hotel left us stranded in the middle of the night with no room and two dogs. TERRIBLE.

We couldn’t have asked for anything more. Excellent service, tons of space to take your dog outside, very clean, right off the highway, lots of breakfast food offered! Made our cross country road trip so much easier!

We usually stop for the night at Asheville or Knoxville when traveling to see our daughter. This place was very clean, and did not give our dog a second look when we walked through the lobby a few times. Breakfast was included, but thanks to covid was wrapped or packaged items. The only downside (if you want to call it that) for us was that we were on the third floor, and our dog is not fond of elevators. There was lots of grassy area around the back of the parking lot and hotel.

This was a great stay. After reading reviews of our options in the area, I chose here because of the good reviews. We were not disappointed!
Easy off the interstate. Very clean outside as well as inside. We had plenty of area to walk our car cooped up Labrador which was nice. They even have poop bags.
The beds were comfortable and everything was clean.
I know it’s a small pleasure but they had hooks that you could hang your purse and dog lead on. I thought it was a really nice extra touch!
I felt very comfortable walking after dark by myself, and it was worth a few dollars extra to get the added warm fuzzy of good area and clean room. - AsaDec 19, 2020Great location

I don’t normally leave notes but I cannot not after our stay. We were greeted with smiles and love from the moment I walked in the door. We had a first floor room which was a request and I was so happy to have it fulfilled. The staff was the most friendly dog family I’ve ever been in contact with!!! We were never treated as an inconvenience which has happened at other places! This dog friendly staff should be commended! They tell stories about their favorite days of watching pups so the humans can have dinner and it’s their FAVORITE part of their job! I even sent an email to the corporate office over my fantastic stay. It’s was quiet never heard another dog. (I asked when I left. There were 25 in hotel that night). Super clean. Great eats around for dog friendly restaurants. I can’t say enough good things about our stay. Very roomy for hotel. I almost don’t want to leave this review so we don’t let this secret out!

I’ve always loved Holiday Inn Express hotels whether I travel with my pet or not. This is the best HIE I’ve ever stayed at. Clean, friendly and very comfortable. Big user friendly bathrooms, USB jacks next to the bed, big TV’s and very clean and quiet. Thank you.

It’s a lovely facility and the staff truly love dogs. They made my shy puppy feel comfortable! There were plentiful areas for walking as well. And the bin of treats by the front desk made my dog’s day! Now if they could only limit the number of drunk UT fans hanging around the lobby at 1:00 AM on a Saturday!

I've stayed at this Holiday Inn twice and both times were excellent experiences. The manager loves dogs and has a giant tin of treats for all the furry guests. Rooms are clean and spacious. Lots of green areas for walks and potty breaks. Plus across the street is a restaurant, Aubrey's, that has a great menu and patio and welcomes dogs.

We chose this hotel due to favorable reviews on this site. Traveling with two kids and a puppy from NOLA to DC and needing a place to sleep, this was a perfect stop. Clean and pet friendly. Newly remodeled too. Kids of course loved the pancake maker with the window to see the pancakes being made. Little touches go a long way with kids!
We did call to confirm availability for a pet. Online rate was honored as well. If a road trip finds us around Knoxville in the future, we would definitely stay here again for the night.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. With two dogs in tow, I was a little disappointed that our room was on the second floor, however, it was right around the corner from the elevator. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Location is right off I-40 and there are several restaurants and gas stations nearby.
