The hotel is older, and the room reflects that. Some of the cables run along the wall to their plugs. Not a big deal. I slept incredibly soundly, despite the bed, not being anything deluxe. We arrived, got in bed, slept soundly, pulled on clothes in the morning and left. The room was incredibly quiet and easy to access from the parking lot. The dog walking area is a bit of an afterthought along the parking lot. It’s a narrow strip of grass that has a steep drop off, at least where we saw it. But my dog used it. Despite the hote, being along a very loud section of freeway, you could not hear a bit of it. At least in our room which faced the inner courtyard. I would stay there again if we needed to.

This hotel is certainly fine for the price range. It was mostly clean, but not completely, and was very noisy the night we were there (to be fair, it was the night before a University of Tennessee football game). They were perfectly fine with the dog, and there are multiple entry points so you don't have to walk your dog through the lobby.

We stayed two separate nights at the Red Roof near Knoxville. Rooms are large, institutional and adequate. Unless you are in a Plus member room amenities are haphazard, as in a coffee maker but no cups. Our first room AC worked on fan only and the floors and our clothes were wet the next morning. Front desk informed but seemed uninterested in responding to this problem. That said, good DIY breakfast; our 90 lb lab was happy to stay here.

Only positive is that they allow dogs for free but there's a reason. It reminded me of staying in a cheap motel, it was smelly inside/outside, people walking around all throughout the night, smoking cigarettes right outside our room, hot water not working, people yelling all night (this was on a Thursday), lots of homeless roaming the area, just not a good experience. There's much better pet friendly options out there.

The room itself was very nice!! However, I was in an adjoining room & could hear EVERYTHING going on in there. I even was sworn at for asking the desk to have guest turn down TV volume at midnight. The man in that room yelled "FU whoever you are!” Nice breakfast & courteous staff.

They have no elevator despite having multiple floors. Being senior travelers with a senior dog, this is crucial info that we needed to know. We paid for an upgraded room, but none of the amenities mentioned were provided. I gave it 2 bones because of the accessibility to I-40 and restaurants, grocery stores, etc. This is an older hotel (possibly prior to ADA laws) that has been somewhat renovated, but won't be on my list to return to.

It was clean, I felt safe, plenty of room to potty my dog, and staff very responsive to requests. I was happily surprised.

Easily accessible from the interstate. Friendly staff, efficient check-in, clean room. Reasonable dog walk area. Breakfast included. Surrounding area hotels, businesses and restaurants. Felt safe.

The Red Roof in was a little run down and there was a lot of shady characters hanging around. But it was a place to rest our weary paws after a long day of driving.

The photos looked nice, but the hallway smelled of smoke and the chair in our room like human urine. Also outdated. Don’t be fooled, there is no rain shower head!

The room was nice! However the “dog” rooms are in the back, near the noisy interstate. Plus, a lot of commotion from people back there also.

This is one of the best Red Roof Inns I have stayed at. Very dog friendly and in easy walking distance of quite a few restaurants including Outback, Carabbas, K-Town Grill. Nice pool area as well. Right off I-40 west of Knoxville.

The motel is pet friendly, our room was clean (though with a strong smell of cleaners), and the windows open. The breakfast was good. The place has nice courtyard with a swimming pool (dogs are not allowed in the courtyard). Our room was on the first floor down a long hallway, and we wish we had been located closer to the entrance door, as we have a senior dog.
