Hot Tub, Game room, Fire pit and Dog-friendly! Welcome to “Green Dream,” your 4-bedroom, 2-bath “cabin in the woods” in stunning Cascade. There’s plenty of room for up to 8 guests to cohabitate comfortably, but NO room for boredom! This home was designed to encourage good times among family and friends, kids included! Tucked against the base of the Rockies, this home is surrounded by breathtaking natural scenery. Enjoy the best of all worlds, with lively Colorado Springs just 25 minutes away.
The Space:
This home offers a satisfying balance of rustic Rocky Mountain character and clean, contemporary comfort. As you approach up the long driveway, you’ll be charmed by the quintessential “cabin” vibe of the home. Immediately, you’ll notice the roomy deck just outside the front door with a latticework privacy enclosure. This space offers built-in benches running along two sides and an outdoor dining table with chair and bench seating, just a few feet from the propane grill. Who doesn’t love eating outdoors in fine weather? Feel free to park in the driveway or the garage.
There is a ping-pong table setup and cornhole game stored in the garage as well!
As you step toward the front door, you’ll also notice the homey covered porch with four country rocking chairs and two small tables, perfect for getting some fresh air, even in a light rain.
Step inside. This contemporary, welcoming space sets a tone you’ll find echoed throughout the rest of the home: modern, with warm rustic touches that speak of the region’s rugged character; cheerful, serene, casually elegant.
This L-shaped space combines a living room and dining area. The living room benefits from two large windows on opposite facing walls, flooding the space with uplifting daylight. A ornamental fireplace with electric logs for ambiance and additional heating serves as the centerpiece between two comfy conversation chairs and a plump sofa with built-in chaise, opposite a wall-mounted TV. Around the bend, a casual dining table tucked into a sunny nook with a picture window provides seating for at least 8, with 4 chairs and a corner bench. Who knows what woodland creatures might drift by, providing entertainment over breakfast?
Just off of the dining area, you’ll find a lovely kitchen with full-size stainless-steel kitchen appliances, including a range with oven/cooktop, refrigerator/freezer with in-door ice and water dispensers, a microwave and dishwasher. You’ll find everything you need to make yourself at home, including a coffee maker, chef’s knives, a tea kettle and cooking utensils. While you’re here, this is YOUR kitchen. Enjoy it!
This main level of the home includes two bedrooms (one king and one queen bed) and a full bath. The bath is beautifully finished with a modern-rustic sink vanity and a combination tub/shower behind gleaming glass doors.
Both bedrooms on this level have walk-in closets, ceiling fans, and their own TVs. After a busy day, grab your cup of tea, retreat to your room, close the door, and sink back on your fresh, plump pillows to lose yourself in your favorite show. There’s space here for togetherness and that much-needed moment to yourself.
Just off of the kitchen, a door leads to a lower level, providing more living space for large groups to spread out. An amazing game room/living area will be irresistible to kids of all ages. Indulge in a game of air hockey, try out the shuffleboard table, or have a nostalgic experience playing arcade-style Mortal Kombat. There’s also a cozy sofa with a built-in chaise in front of a TV, adorned with throw pillows and a cuddly blanket. A counter-height table with two stools is perfect for snacking.
Here, you’ll also find a full-size washer and dryer, which might be just as exciting to you as the games!
This level includes two additional bedrooms and a second full bath. The bath is cleanly decorated in modern white with a combination tub/shower and sink vanity with storage below.
Two bright bedrooms with full-size windows feature one king bed and one queen-sized bed and each their own TV. The king bedroom includes an extra-large closet; the other offers a desk and chair, just in case you’re working during your stay.
Behind the house, you’ll discover even more space for fun! Relax in the hot tub after a long day of exploring! A café table and two chairs out back provide a pleasant spot for sharing a sandwich with your bestie. A dedicated corner is given over to a propane fire pit encircled by 8 retro chairs – an ideal place for cocktails, cocoa, and conversation at sundown.

The Neighborhood:
Cascade is a real, honest-to-goodness mountain town cutting through the undulating foothills of the Rockies. As you look around, you’ll be sharing the same view enjoyed by tourists who came here 140 years ago to begin their trek to the summit of Pikes Peak, 14,000 feet above sea level. Today, you can take the easy route along the Pikes Peak Highway, with Cascade as its starting point.
Cascade offers a small variety of casual dining options, and you’ll find significantly more to choose from 10 minutes down the road in Woodland Park, along with supermarkets and plenty of retail shopping for anything you’ll need.
The region draws outdoors enthusiasts from around the world for fresh-air activities like hunting, fishing, skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, ziplining, rafting, and more. In Cascade, you’ll find yourself quite literally surrounded by parks and trails, including Cascade Community Park where the Heizer trail leads to photo-worthy nearby waterfalls.
Some of the area’s other popular outdoor destinations include:
The Manitou Springs Incline, a much-loved hiking trail with some steep spots, over 2,700 steps from the bottom to the summit offering breathtaking views (16 minutes)
Rainbow Falls, a picturesque waterfall with a concrete walkway that snakes along Fountain Creek (8 minutes)
Cave of the Winds, a complex of caves where tours are offered (12 minutes)
Red Rock Canyon Open Space: hiking trails, bike park (19 minutes)
Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center: ancient rock formations tower 300 feet overhead (18 minutes)
Bear Creek Regional Park East: hiking and biking trails, tennis courts, playground (18 minutes)
Santa Fe Regional Trail: hiking, biking, horseback riding, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing; picturesque Palmer Lake (28 minutes)
If you’re a fan of the arts, you’ll appreciate the galleries of Manitou Springs, a charming little town just 13 minutes away, and Colorado Springs, home to the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, the Pikes Peak Center for the Performing Arts, and the art galleries of Downtown and the Old Colorado City historic district. Colorado Springs also offers an array of fascinating museums, including the US Olympic and Paralympic Museum and the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum, and it’s just 25 minutes away.
