I think this Westin is a lovely place to stay for the quality of the building, the room, the bathroom, the bed, the bedding, and the location.
There is a good, grassy park just a couple of blocks away, and patches here and there even closer for your dog to find relief.
There is a bar in the lobby with good cocktails and live music.
The location is fun - next to Beale St for dive bars and food options. Right next to the FedEx sports arena.
The staff were fine - bad for food recommendations (avoid the tourist trap Central BBQ they suggested - bleh!). The breakfast in house at their restaurant is expense account okay but adequate and vastly overpriced otherwise. Think for chicken and waffles over browned dry waffles and chicken tenders pulled out of a freezer bag full of premade ones, yet a $20 price tag.
Like the rest of Memphis, there is a little lazy cynicism going on that “the tourists will come and buy no matter what, and they don’t know any better so don’t put your heart into making the good stuff for them” kind of way.
New Orleans fell into that kind of cynicism for a while in the 80’s and 90’s and then they had that glorious food and hospitality renaissance. Hopefully Memphis experiences a similar positive uprising.
But until that change happens, for my money - I’m going to keep driving to Nashville where there is more pride and love going in to the food, drink, and hospitality at the moment.

Only downside is there’s nowhere to take your dog out close by, but otherwise, was a great stay. Room was clean. Staff was great.

Nice rooms. Not big, but nice. Only downside was that theres no patch of grass right outside, but if you take a right out the door, theres a park at the end of the block (~3 min walk) and its quit big... not fenced in, but theres a doggie bag dispenser, so points for that! And it was cheaper for me to book via BringFido, than what they quoted me at the front desk when I arrived. So I quickly booked via bring fido on my phone, and the rest is history. Was great location too as its just around the corner from Beale street where we went in the evening. Sidenote: I believe bringfido says you CAN leave pups in the room, but they ask you to sign an agreement taking responsibility for the pups and to say that you WONT leave them alone in the room. Just FYI.

Amazing service and a great room with a view. The dogs loved everything about the hotel. Took them to Mud Island and they had a ball.

Easy checkin, friendly staff and a clean spacious room were a great start to a restful night. The bed was comfortable, and the room was quiet even though there were guests staying in adjacent rooms. The lobby and rooms were modern and nicely appointed, and even though we didn’t take advantage of it, the hotel is really convenient to Beale Street and local restaurants. Great stopover on a cross country drive from Houston to Chicago. Wholeheartedly recommend this property to anyone with dogs!

We arrived late evening with our 3 month old puppy and 17 year old Aussie. The valet quickly grabbed a cart helped us load and shared pictures of his dog! Front desk and restaurant manager were wonderful as well. Park for the dogs to use the restroom right up the road! Over great
