  Very close to airport

  Convenient to airport, if that is important to you, but that means that you have big jets and their noise flying close overhead anytime day or night. Lots of restaurants nearby, even walking distance. Grassy area for dogs to do their business on. Neighborhood of dead end streets next to parking lot to walk the dog. Ground floor level room was clean, with parking for car immediately outside door. We would stay there again if passing through the area.

  Go somewhere else

  Our room wreaked of smokers (even though its a 'non smoking' property) and there was hair in the bed. The shower faucet was sticking out a couple inches from the wall. Someone knocked on our door at midnight and then again at nearly 1am, sending our dogs into a crazy frenzy and waking up the kids. The place is dirty and gross.

  Nice hotel

  My pup was getting a little jumpy because of one of the neighbor loud bass music but the hotel was over all nice.

  Very Dog Friendly But...

  Very dog friendly and the staff was welcoming but the first thing I noticed when we entered the room was a dirty sock next to the bed and stains on the bedspread. There was also ashes all over the shower grab bar where someone used it to put out their cigarette.

  Good Value for Pets

  The room was very clean, nice and no extra fee for our pet.
  Checked in about dark and left about 10 next morning. Small dog walk area.

  No frills but perfect for our needs

  We stayed here twice this week; once on the way to Gatlinburg and again on the way back. The first time they did have to change our room to another one because the first one had been smoked in-- but they were very nice about doing so and it was no big deal. At check in we were given two bottles of water and a few pet waste bags as well. It is not the most quiet location, as it is right by the airport, but that is to be expected. There are several prominent security cameras on the exterior of the building, and it is located nearby several places to eat. We ate at Panera twice & it was great. Holly at the front desk was wonderful.

  What A Dump

  Arrived about 9:00 pm. Have never stayed at a red roof but now know to avoid. The young desk clerk gave us our card keys, once we arrived at our room we walked in on other occupants as the kid gave us an already occupied room!!! Can you imagine it all. Our room was musty and I found hair in the bed. Ugh! Go somewhere else.

  Staff was great! Easy to work with in making reservations and checking in/out. Vibe feels a little sketchy at first due to the age of the property, but we had no issues or problems during our stay. Room was clean. Daughter was excited that there was a microwave. Several other pet owners around. Our room was clean. Couldn’t have asked for me for the price!

  Do not recommend

  I am giving this hotel only two "bones" for a few reasons.

  First, let me start with the good about this hotel. They are pet friendly, which is huge for me! I have three dogs and although they state in their rules that only one dog is allowed to each room, they allowed me to have two dogs in my husband and I's room, and one dog in my kids' room, which I thought was really great, especially since it's one of the few hotels in the area that doesn't charge a pet fee on top of nicely priced rooms. Also, the rooms are pretty decent for a motel. The bed is decently comfortable, and they have hardwood flooring, which once again is great for pets! The staff was pretty friendly as well.

  Now onto the negatives, which for me outweighed the positives. It is a motel type place, as in the doors are facing outside, which isn't very comfortable to me when I'm not familiar with the area, but I got over that. I don't like that the bed linens are the old school,
  70s style quilt-like bedspreads that you use to find in every motel. I feel like all hotels should at least have some sort of bedspread, if not a down comforter these days. Also, in this summer heat I would have liked to see a window unit that was more updated and actually functioned properly. In my children's room, their air conditioner went down to 60 degrees, ours only to 64. But, in their room there was no difference between the medium fan setting and the high. It barely blew at all, whereas ours worked sufficiently. Now for my absolute deal breaker, and the reason I will not be coming back to this hotel again, is the bathroom. The bathroom is absolutely tiny, but the worst part was the product options they give you. A bar of absolutely terrible, sticky, dry bar soap, and one bottle of "Shampoo/conditioner" about the size of my pinky. My husband had to go ask for five more and I used every last drop, so six total. But the worst part is that the "shampoo/conditioner" absolutely destroyed my hair. It made it to the point where while I was lathering my hair with the product, it was so sticky and dry that my hair was being pulled out by my fingers. I'm not even kidding. It felt as if I was washing my hair with part dollar store bar soap, and part glue. Brushing out my hair after was a nightmare. For a motel that offers room service, you'd think they'd at least invest in separate shampoo and conditioner, that didn't feel like you're washing your hair with children's art supplies. I know this may seem dumb to most people, but for someone who had just got done with a ten hour road trip from Texas, and dealing with 90+ degree weather the entire day, I at least expected a decent shower at the end of the night.

  Sorry for the long post but I want people to understand what this place has, or doesn't have, to offer.
