      Great People. Great Hotel

      I can’t say enough nice about this place and the people. They bent over backwards to accommodate us and others running from Ida. I drove 24 hours to get 300 miles from Nola and arrived 2hours b4 check in; they got me in ASAP. My dog actually tripped me getting out the elevator and I went down hard. I couldn’t get back up on my knees and was horrified. The desk called a nice worker named Gino and he picked me up like I was nothing. They tried every way they could to help myself and other evacuees. And the room cost was reasonable. I cannot say enough good about Red Roof Brookhollow!

      Roaches and mildew

      Even having prepaid it took forever to check in. Clearly the woman running the desk hated her job. From the minute you step of the elevator it smells like a snoop dog concert. Which is fine except it totally defeats the non smoking room idea. The first room I was sent to had the door propped open with the latch and the bed had been slept in. Nope. Had to trudge back down and get assigned a new room. Then.... Roaches. Enough that I was like, ok this is a problem. Top it off with mildew in the shower and the place having a sketchy vibe. Nope. Once was enough. The only decent thing is that the floor wasn't carpet perfect for doggo. Note: doggo will stink of cheap schwag when you get home...
