We’re okay with renovations and minor inconveniences, but this hotel isn’t well managed. Front desk staff was nice and accommodating towards our dogs. Plenty of relief areas. Our room only had towels for one person. When we asked the housekeepers for another set of towels, they panicked and said they could only give us pool towels (1/2 size).
If you consider the convenient breakfast into what you’re willing to pay for a room, you may be disappointed. Breakfast was pre-made pancakes (to reheat in microwave?) fruit-flavored yogurt, mini fruit cups, and oat bars. Basically a child’s breakfast. No breads or cereals or real fruit. Even worse, it was supposed to be ready for 7am., but nothing was out. Front desk said the person responsible hadn’t shown up for work and apparently there’s no backup person. You expect there to be more than one employee running a hotel with dozens of rooms. Even though our pets were comfortable, this was pricey for having limited staff and resources.

Our AC went out, so I decided to try this motel. The front desk was very friendly. The motel is undergoing renovation. The carpet is old and worn. The room was cool. The little doggie area was nice. There is also a sidewalk about a half block south of the hotel that made it easier to walk my dog. I learned a lot about staying with a dog.

Room dirty, did not fit the pictures. Very little take and go breakfast. Staff was talking among themselves about being afraid of not getting paid.

Very disappointed in this La Quinta. The only reason it gets one bone is the bed was comfortable. For starters, the second floor ice machine is broken and the elevator is out of order. When reported to the young lady at the front desk (who was busy visiting with her friends watching TV in the lobby), she just shrugged and said she’d tell the manager. There was black mold in the window sill, tears in the blackout curtains. One of the chairs was torn. Worst of all, we moved the recliner closer to the TV, and discovered all kinds of old food on the floor under the chair. Obviously, the chair hadn’t been moved for cleaning in God knows how long. Overall, this is a badly maintained place. Go somewhere else.

The place was great for dogs and okay for humans.
Dogs: there is plenty of room outside for dogs to explore, walk, and do their business. They have a little courtyard with a small walking track perfect for doing their morning business.
Humans: The room was okay. The bed was comfortable. The bathrooms were alright with their cleanliness. Not the best place we've stayed at for sure, but not the worst.

Nice overnight stop on the way from DFW to Corpus Christi. Lovely room. The grassy quadrangle was rather wet and swampy but had a poop bag dispenser and waste container.
