I have never stayed at a Red Roof Inn before this trip. I decided to give it a try due to their pet rate. On first impression, I thought it would be OK as it was just a bit dated. I usually have a knack of how things are on first impressions. I missed this one by a “country mile.” Most all of the pet friendly hotels I have stayed in that were reviewed on BringFido have been pretty accurate. This is the exception. I found that there possibly hasn’t been a pet owner pick up after their dogs since Y2K.
And this includes all grassy areas on the entire property. Kept my puppy Labrador “reading the newspaper” every time I took her out. Pet owners without dogs on leashes. Workers turned parking lot into a beer bash that filled the trash cans with their empties, leaving no room to clean up after pets. People loitering in parking lot and sleeping in cars. I may be the only pet owner that didn’t need to clean up after my dog as there wasn’t any vacant, unused patch of ground. I give this a 1 bone rating for 2 reasons: The desk manager made a great recommendation for dinner, and I didn’t think the app would let me pick no bones.

Handicap room accessible only by concrete ramp at the back. Trash and dog poop on the ground near the stairs and ramp. Appears to possibly be home to work crews and others, not just tourists. Room was fairly clean but thin walls.

From the Mismatched dust ruffle to the old curtains it was plainer than plain. Cigarette butts scattered everywhere made it tough to take my baby potty. The dust ruffle had been sprayed as my dog couldn’t stop sniffing it. The door had two male dog sprays on it. We managed, luckily it was a short night.

Pulled up to Motel 6 thinking I would get the best price, then quickly checked BringFido. Good thing I did because Red Roof Inn was much better all around. I'd never stayed at one before and I can say this beats any Motel 6 I've ever been to. The hotel manager, Cash, was very kind to let us check-in early. He even escorted us to our room and made sure the TV remote was working. New flooring and spacious clean room, this was a very good deal. Very close to restaurants, shopping, etc. I highly recommend.
