  Room was decent and clean. We enjoyed the included breakfast which was better than most hotel breakfasts. Good access from I-15, plenty of parking and lots of restaurants nearby.

  Needs improvements

  Comfortable bed and clean, quiet room. Hot water did come out of shower head, but not bathtub faucet. Needs regulator replaced since it was leaky as well. Back door stopped working. Had to go to side and front door to access building. The second waffle maker did not work correctly. The timer did not start. So I had to manually watch it to make sure the waffles did not burn.

  Not sure why the other reviews weren’t very good. For a pet friendly hotel, this was a great budget friendly option! Clean room, no smells, a few pet areas outside, plenty of room to walk your dog around the hotel. Hotel needs to replace poop bags on the property though! We will stay here again. Thanks!

  Great spot

  For the same cost as Motel 6 (approximately $100 with taxes, etc), La Quinta seems luxurious. Large room, comfy beds, a table, tissues, shampoo, lotion & conditioner, plus coffee in the room, a coffee station down the hall, & a decent hot breakfast! Frankie liked it too; he could look out the window. New resolution: no motels with numbers in the name!!

  Less than one bone

  In a very busy commercial area of Orem. Very little space in the landscaping area of the parking lot for pet walks. Rooms looked modern but you can hear conversations, foot traffic and crying infants from the confines of your room. Apparently Utah has a water issue so the tap in your sink runs about as fast as your dog pees.

  Dogs enjoyed the stay

  Loved that the entry way to the room had enough room for my two large crates and we saw so many other dogs in the hotel as well! Happy to see a potty area in the back of the hotel. Staff were very friendly.

  Needs attention to details

  We've found La Quinta to be one of the best hotel chains in our travels with our dog, and this one seemed nice at first. However we soon found that the heater in the room only blew cool air (when it was in the 20s outside) and the shower had wholly inadequate water pressure unless on a very cold setting. The hotel was a bit noisy with lots of local workers housed in the facility and not particularly concerned about the noise they made. In the morning, a housekeeper knocked on our door at 9am expecting us to be gone, and other housekeepers were shouting up and down the hall to each other. Very small grass areas outside for the dog to take care of business. All in all, we had high hopes but were disappointed in our experience at this location.

  Hotel seems updated. Room was clean. Pet area with grass in the back. Only gripe is getting in trouble for coming to the lobby with my dog to get coffee during breakfast hours. There isn’t a separate area for breakfast away from the lobby.

  Retirement Trip

  A great hotel for pets and humans. The people at the front desk were very nice and helpful. The hotel has a nice grass area for the dogs and it was quiet at night.

  Dogs Stay Free

  Dogs stay free here and we had no complaints about them. Staff was all really nice but it was not the cleanest hotel we have ever been in. Also the smell of marijuana is really prevalent.

  Out of the way but nice place

  Good room, clean and comfortable. Cracks in the shower surround will cause some moisture issues down the road, hope they fix them. Lots of places outside to walk the dog, with bags and disposal bin in two spots. We left the dog in her crate, walked to Applebee's for supper and stopped at Krispy Kreme for desert.

  No carpet in room. Nice to have a fridge & microwave. Purchased a meal from the hotel market to microwave. Did not use other amenities. 2nd time staying, would book again.

  Probably the nicest La Quinta we’ve ever stayed in. Grassy areas beside/behind the hotel for dog business, poop station with bags there, and the area was CLEAN! No piles of dog poop just sitting there. Our only complaint was no breakfast due to their COVID response. Mask compliance was good.

  Our overnight at the Provo/Orem La Quinta was just fine. It was easy to access from the Interstate, and standard La Quinta feel (ie pet-friendly). There are probably lots of good walking/hiking trails nearby, but for a one-night stay we just walked the dogs around the grass and parking lot.

  Nice enough hotel, though a bad experience for us

  I will say upfront that this review rating reflects our personal experience, and not necessarily the hotel in general. Had our room worked out in the beginning I would likely rate it a 3-4, especially for the sub 100 price paid, and no pet fee to deal with which is a plus. There is not a fantastic area to take your pup outside, but admittedly we entered and left through the back door so I may have missed it. The unenclosed area that was provided had bags and a bin, but the grass had quite a few bare spots, and random food scraps our pup kept trying to eat. The area wasn’t a dealbreaker because we were simply pulling over for the night and like to find a bigger park off site regardless. Our pup also had an absolute field day in both rooms with her nose, clearly there were many spots left over from previous pets which was disconcerting.

  Now for our experience: The hotel itself was nice, although could have used a deep clean. It’s starting to show it’s age in spots with some wear and tare.

  We arrived quite late, and the check in girl was extremely friendly and nice. She told us that she had us in a room with a ‘lake view’ although we were actually on the opposite side of the building with a parking garage view.

  We got to the room, tired from driving all day and settled in. It wasn’t until we were nearly asleep and the room was quite cold that I went to adjust the heater and realized it did not work. Although a pain to move, it would have been freezing by morning time so I called down to request a change of room. When I called down the shift had changed and a new lady was on duty, she was also nice and told us she had a room directly across the hallway we could move into. She noted that not all of the rooms had updated heaters, and apologized. I walked to the front desk, had to wait for her to finish a personal call on her cell phone, the. Grabbed the keys. Again she apologized which was kind.

  It wasn’t until I got back to our room that I realized she actually put us in a room one floor up, and way down the hall. Not wanting to walk all the way back to the front, and at the behest of my wife and pup who simply wanted to go to bed, we went to the room.

  The new room was a double bed, not a king, and while the heater worked it was quite dirty. Again, too late and too tired to deal with it we settled in for a sleepless night in a bed that was much too small.

  In the morning during checkout the man at the front desk immediately took the “all I can offer is an apology, and can’t offer a refund of any kind” route which was annoying. I simply wanted to inform him of our experience, and he took a defensive approach which was off putting.

  All in all the hotel clearly needs to finish updating the heaters, and finish other differed maintenance such as loose sink taps, and fresh paint. Could be great with some tlc.

  Super easy check in with pets, clean place, good price. No breakfast included because of covid but that's expected. They had a nice looking pool too but we didn't use it. Looking forward to our next visit!

  Great customer service

  Our stay was very nice, even with the pandemic. Room was clean, no animal smells like a normal pet approved hotel.
  I gave 5 stars because the staff were kind and the room was comfortable. However, the grounds were full of dog poo and cigarette buds so I had to find a clean place for our puppies to do their business, to avoid any dog sickness or humane dirtiness. This I blame on customers who are too lazy to clean up after their dog and themselves. It is a shame how so many people in our world are uncaring of our earth and the next person or animals.

  Very easy on and off I15. We've stayed at La Quinta Inns across the country and this was the nicest one we have stayed with the best breakfast. Already booked our room for our return trip.
