  Gave me the wrong room

  They gave me a room as high up and as far from the elevator as possible. It was an awful experience for my dog and me just getting to the room. The remote did not work. Someone kept trying to call me but no one was there. In the morning they discovered I was supposed to have a room in the second floor and not that far from the elevator. At least my dog got to have an egg and cheese omelet for breakfast for the $25 pet fee I had to pay. I had a better experience at a much cheaper hotel on the first leg of my trip.

  Convenient stop while traveling

  Hotel is in a convenient area when stopping for the night. Lots of food choices, right off expressway. Room was sufficient. The hotel does not have good outdoor lighting, the only spot with bright lights was an area between hotel and McDonalds which is mostly lined with large shrubs.

  Good customer service but HVAC and proximity to I-95 made our room noisy. The area has good food stores and restaurants. The Hotel has plenty of grass to walk the dogs. Overall ok for one night stop when driving north or south with pets.

  Hotel was right off I-95 and had plenty of restaurants to choose from. Staff was super polite and rooms were clean.

  Tired Hotel

  Other than being convenient to I-95 and the friendly staff, I don’t have anything positive to say. If it hadn't been late and my husband was with me I would have looked for another hotel. The door to the room was not in the best shape and the locks were suspect. Found the dried poop pile from either a small dog or cat in the corner of the room.

  Bare bones

  The floor was not level which meant none of the furnishings were either. Bed coverings were stained, towels so thin. Way overpriced.

  Convenient location with problems

  Previous guest was a smoker. Strong cigarette smell everywhere. Ceiling over the shower is falling apart. Shower faucet was broken running all night.

  Great location

  Nice place to stay while traveling down I-95. Pet friendly and free breakfast. We have stayed here before and feel comfortable there.

  Hard to find

  Easy check-in and very nice staff. The only problem was the address doesn't come up on Android Google maps. A very nice desk clerk at a different Holiday Inn mapped it out for me on my phone. If you use this hotel, get of 95 at exit 126 and follow the signs.

  Good Location

  Felt safe. Friendly check in. Breakfast was good. Quiet, didn’t hear anyone or any dogs. Could use a little better cleaning - walls had a few stains and there was hair in the sink. I think because it’s a pet room they don’t clean as well as other rooms.

  A little disappointed

  There complimentary body wash and shampoo were out and it was a pretty large bottle so they must not check it that often. The breakfast was fair. The whole reason we stayed at this hotel was because it was pet friendly with an indoor pool. We found out after check in that the pool was not available but possibly would be the next day, which it was not. This was very disappointing for my daughter. Overall, I was disappointed with Holiday Inn Express. We usually stay at other hotels and will likely keep that trend given this experience. There were no issues with the dogs which was a plus.

  Lots of grass to walk on. Nice room with carpet so my dog was comfy on the floor.

  Very expensive and not worth the money. The carpet was dirty. The room was small and dusty. The bathroom not cleaned thoroughly. There was no grassy area or relief station.

  Good location for traveling, great that they allow dogs. Overpriced in my opinion. It was kind of dirty and worn out looking.

  Disappointed in Holiday Inn

  When we got there the back door was broken so we had to walk with luggage to the side door. The room keys wouldn't work so we had to go back to deck to get new ones, then moved to another floor. We were tired after driving and then had to figure out which plugs worked in our room. The outlets need replaced and all chargers fell out of the wall. Not what I expected from Holiday Inn at all. Thanks for allowing dogs. She slept like a baby and got a bone upon departure.

  The worst place we ever stayed. The room smelled like wet dog. The carpets were filthy and stained. Everything was worn and tattered. The bottom of the bathtub was peeling. Dust on every baseboard. I would never stay here again. Whoever owns this franchise should be ashamed. Gross.

  Exceeded expectations

  In other hotels the dog friendly room usually has issues...smell, missing TV remote, bathroom fan not working but not here. We were happy with the room and the location was close to restaurants. Price was right too.

  Great location but front desk service was underwhelming

  I reserved a room for one night through BringFido since my dog traveled with me. The BringFido customer rep was wonderful and she even called the hotel in advance to make sure it reserved a dog-friendly room for me.

  When I arrived after 11 hours on the road, the person working at the front desk of the hotel said that the room wasn’t reserved and that they had to upgrade me. Although the front desk person wasn’t rude, she said that BringFido called Holiday Inn’s central location, not that specific hotel. She then told me the upgrade would only cost $1.

  Well, I accepted the mishap but the hotel ended up charging me $9 extra for the upgrade. I also later found out that, indeed, BringFido spoke directly to that hotel’s front desk. Needless to say, I was not pleased with the front desk’s customer service - unapologetic at best, duplicitous at worst.

  Overall, my room was Spartan and neat, although outdated. What I thought were blood stains in the bathtub was rust. The breakfast, though, was excellent and its staff was so very kind.

  In the future, I would stay at another hotel for an overnight visit. It wasn’t worth the money or aggravation.

  It was ok

  When I arrived I had to wait for about an hour before I could be checked into room. I arrived around 8pm. Front desk was busy and one person working. She kept saying that the credit card on file for my reservation wasn’t working. I called Fido service line. They called her. I had to go get my dog out of car to potty (of which there is no dedicated area and it is a pain). I returned my dog to the car and went back in to check on progress and the employee had Fido on speaker and numbers were being read aloud (Fido did tell me that it wasn’t my credit card numbers but at the time it was alarming) and the lobby was full of people. The employee was frustrated and customer service was out the window. It was embarrassing. Another employee came in. She didn’t greet me. After getting computer logged in she addressed me. The hour long sh*t show was because I owed the pet fee, which I knew, that was it. I just had to pay the pet fee at the time I checked in. The reservation wasn’t going through because the other employee was trying to charge the pet fee to my Fido reservation. The initial Fido rep left me on hold and never got back to me. When I got to the room I called Fido back and the rep was nice, letting me know that it was not my credit card info read aloud to a lobby filled with people. I would never stay at this location again. The room was also dirty. I have a dog but I have a dog that doesn’t trigger allergies. The room did. I had to take Benedryl and was thankful I packed it. I always end on positives. The employee who caused the hour long wait, she was overwhelmed. People were giving her a hard time about wearing masks and she had a constant line of people waiting to check in and it was just her. I think she was doing the best she could. The next day a very friendly employee greeted me and chatted with me while I had my dog outside. She was so sweet. This wasn’t a great way to start traveling with my dog.

  Lobby & room very clean. Good COVID protocol. Extremely friendly reception/check-in. No dedicated area for pet-walking or poop bags, but were grassy areas around lot that were adequate.

  Poor Covid rules

  Avoid this hotel. Guests walking around with no masks in from or near front desk. I asked why such poor rule enforcement when they had multiple signs on entrance doors that masks required. They said can’t enforce it even though clearly marked. Felt unsafe In room that if front desk was wearing masks but not enforced for guests that cleanliness of room also ignored. When I approached them second time that they should at least inform guests walking in door or offer them as courtesy to other guests wearing masks the quickly pulled box from under counter and made it visible. Not impressed since I am older and immune compromised. Very poor judgement with so many of us traveling from out of state. Not impressed and almost left hotel for another

  Perfect for a road weary dog and his mom

  Staff was extremely accommodating. The room was very clean and, although it was on the second floor, we were next to the stairway and an outside exit. The breakfast next morning was most welcome. We will definitely be back when we return to the area.
