I was not impressed at all. The building is old and not in the best shape. We were put in 3 different rooms -1st wouldn't open, 2nd wouldn't lock. The 3rd finally worked but after settling in there we found used, dry hand towels hanging on the shower rod. Breakfast was a pre-packaged muffin, chewy granola bar, an apple and 8oz water. The only good things I can say is they take dogs and showers have good pressure.

Where do I start? It is a good location, shame hotel isn't better. Chose this hotel because it was pet friendly. Not a good green area for pets at all. Small mulched area that a picnic table fills up & a small strip of grass by parking. No waste receptacles or bags. Killed 2 bugs in the room. Pet floor is the basement. Employees standing around down there smelling of pot. Breakfast consists of prepackaged muffin, a mushy apple and EXPIRED juice. I was also charged $40 more at check out than what was quoted in my email confirmation. Don't stay here.

The staff was very welcoming and fun to talk too. They all love animals. It doesn’t matter where I stay personally, here or The Griffin…. I always bring Lysol and Microban. I also keep a Scentsy Fan or Plug In too. That made a huge difference. I am sure it’s tough after the busy season to keep up with cleaning up after many people. Whenever I can bring my dogs without judgement, I’m sold. The fee was very minimal also! I’ve stayed other places where my pet fees were a little crazy. Take my advice, bring those items and you’ll be fine!
- BonnieJun 9, 2021Amazing Hotel!
We stayed here for Memorial Day weekend with our Great Dane and I can not say enough how pleased I am with this hotel. A few weeks before, I called ahead to confirm their pet policy and was so pleasantly surprised that they don't restrict on breeds or weight limits, and they also did not impose extra fees based on size! This is a major plus given the fact that our fur baby is the size of a grown man! When we arrived, I went in first to check in at the front desk and the staff was very excited to meet our dog. They asked about his temperment and how to greet him so they didn't make any assumptions. This was great because he does get some anxiety from time to time. When he came in they treated him so well! Our room was located on the top floor of the hotel and it was extremely clean. The bed was very comfortable as well. The location was amazing also, we were within walking distance of Colonial Williamsburg. We enjoyed being able to go on foot to explore the old city and dine out. We enjoyed our stay here and so did our dog. All of the staff who met him were so kind and understanding of our dog's anxiety and gave him gentle attention and treats. If we are ever in Williamsburg again, we will definitely stay here.
- NancyOct 20, 2019Reeked
Our room and hallway reeked from too many pet accidents and smelly rug shampoo. It's unfortunate... the hotel is in a great location - walking distance to the historic area.
