Pool is closed, cold breakfast is pretty weak - all carbs and sugar, no protein. Room was fine, staff ok. Overall clean and appears to be well maintained.

They’re in a remodeling phase. You cannot look out any windows. Very little staff, thus very little help to get simple items like tissues. The “back grass area” is off limits during the restoration. BTW the price remains the same. I strongly suggest you look elsewhere.

We felt very welcomed. It was a quick drive to anywhere you may want to go in Winchester. The room itself was average but exactly as we expected it to be, clean, comfortable and nice breakfast offerings. We would choose to stay their again.

Our room was nice, very clean and updated. However the hot water heater was "on the fritz again" according to the front desk. Also, the indoor pool was closed, and when we asked how long it would be down we were told, "for the whole weekend." This is in mid-July. I would not return due to the maintenance issues.

Comfortable and clean, the place looks brand new, and I was surprised to find out that it’s 25 years old! Morning breakfast was fine. I would come back in a heartbeat.

We drive between New Orleans and New York with our two dogs. One of our stops is in Virginia and we are so happy to have found the Wingate by Wyndham. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The hotel is cheery and the staff is friendly, and our dogs were happy. We will be staying here again for sure.

Super clean, staff was very pleasant! No pet smells, room was spacious and beds were very comfortable!! Would definitely stay again! Only negative, hot water was not hot for oatmeal and the egg sandwich was not very good.

The hotel is great. The floors have been replaced with laminate which is very good when traveling with your dog. The king room was very spacious and clean. The bathroom has been nicely updated. The only problem we had was that our reservation with BringFido was not in their computer. Fortunately I had a confirmation number and paperwork to prove we did have a reservation. And they did have a room for us.

We were traveling back from vacation when our car broke down. We needed to find a place fast and near an auto shop. I booked with BringFido as I usually do when traveling with our two huskies. The hotel staff let us check in early and were so accommodating. The room was on the first floor and very clean and spacious. Thank you for a great stay during a stressful situation!

Overall not a bad place. The people are nice and it's dog friendly. The main problem is there is absolutely no outlets in the room within reach of either bed. No USB ports and basically one outlet to plug in any items you need to charge.

You’ll need to bring a carpet with rubber backing if your dog wants to jump on the couch or the bed because the floor is not carpeted. Also very hot in the hallway and hot in the room with the heater turned off (in December) and we had to run the AC. Better than some hotels for dogs but not that great overall. Three bones for the pandemic but would have been two bones otherwise.

Wingate by Wyndham is a great place to stay for dog families. The hotel and grounds are well kept -- clean and pretty quiet. There is enough grassy area around the hotel to accommodate the sniffingest dog, and the hotel maintains a clean-up dog station.

Very clean room and hotel, super friendly staff, and well appointed room with microwave, fridge and coffee maker. Great to have rooms w/ vinyl floors (luxury tile type), the indoor pool was great for a hot day, complimentary coffee in the morning was delicious. Lots of room to walk pets outside and a dog waste clean up station. Ice and vending machines were an added convenience and the available laundry is a nice option. We will definitely stay here again if we are ever in the area.

Great location. Plenty of walking areas around and restaurants/fast food to grab a bite. The AC units are the manual under-window type that make a lot of noise but just fine otherwise.

We stayed last night at the Wingate after a long trip from SC. The hotel was very good for our needs. We were just using it as a layover for the remaining trip to NY. Very dog friendly. Area to “relieve” pets. Floor of room was a laminate so no worry about pet mistakes. This is not a premium hotel so don’t expect all the special features of a high priced stay. It more than met our needs for one night and we would use again for future trips.

This was our second stay at the hotel, will definitely stay again the next time we're coming through. Large clean room, excellent location (close to I-81 but far enough not to hear it; also very short drive to historic downtown and eateries). Plenty of grassy area to walk the dog, fair price for the quality provided.

This was perfect for us and our collie. People were super friendly, rooms were very clean, breakfast was excellent, and the green strip behind the place was perfect for walking our dog. Just wish every place was like this. We even had a free spaghetti dinner there on Wednesday night. We were so tired from driving, this really made our day.

I was in the area and checked hotel, after hotel, after hotel... !! Read ALL the reviews and settled on this one. VERY GLAD I DID. Went to the local Clarion about a 1/2 mile away and I would not even get out of the car. It looked very, very seedy... so I went a little ways further to this one and was very happy to see it was clean- WOW the air quality is great- no musty or mold.. and the room is nice and neat.
After staying at the La Quinta in the Meadowlands, New Jersey for two days... this place is the Taj Mahal. Btw- don’t EVER stay at that La Quinta in NJ... it’s dog friendly yes- but the place is HORRIBLE.
So- to recap- this Wyndham hotel is a definite thumbs up- WAY UP. If your reading the reviews and wondering where to stay in this area- read no more! This is THE place!!
