  Nice Staff

  The staff was super friendly and helpful. However, this motel needs a facelift. It is an older facility that has had very little, if any, updating since its opening. The inside and out, reek of 1970s. There is very little green space for any sized dog. There were no amenities. Believe me, we are not finicky people.

  Nice motel

  While this was an older motel, it was clean and the staff was helpful and friendly. Easy on and off freeway. Price was very reasonable.

  Friendly Staff!

  We booked on the fly as we were splitting our drive home with our two dogs. The price was great, convenient location, friendly and helpful front desk staff, and a clean room for us and our pups to rest up!

  Has gone to the dogs

  We used to stay at this location twice a year for several years now. This time, not sure what has happened, but the person at the check-in was rude as could be. Now, they no longer carry Fox News. When I asked about it I was told it was Dish that has locked it out. And yet I have been a Dish subscriber for almost 10 years now. In fact, I went online and guess what my Dish account had - Fox. We won't be back.

  Convenient and reasonably priced

  We were driving from SC to Pittsburgh, and this was the perfect midway point. Right at the major route intersection. Front desk attendant was friendly and helpful. King bed was fine—nothing to write home about, but comfy enough. The room had that musty smell that some older places have, but it was clean, and switching on the AC seemed to take care of things. Breakfast had an on-demand, no-touch pancake machine, instead of the ubiquitous waffle irons (they feel that waffle irons and kids aren’t a great combo), and they were surprisingly good for needing a very short time to prepare. Morning staff also very friendly.

  Not as expected

  This Days Inn had a 4.9 rating, and I don't know why. The room had a very musty odor. We had to leave the door open to air it out. The fridge was on its last leg. We had it at the highest setting and it barely kept the inside cool. We ended up buying ice and using our cooler. The sheets had very small holes in them, however, they were clean. There is hardly any grassy areas for the dogs, and the grass is too tall for small dogs.

  We travel with our Golden Retrievers and live in SC, but visit family frequently in OH so we stay here 1/2 way each way and every time we do this trip. Never had an issue. Not fancy, but clean and comfortable for my husband and I. Our fur babies are very comfy too.

  Good location but tired facility

  We were given an ancient handicapped room (not sure why) with a grassy area nearby (we have a cat). Bedspread had a burn hole in it. We always clean up the litter when we leave and dispose of it when we leave but there were no outside trashcans. What do people with dogs do with waste? Upon check-in you need to sign off that you will take care of this. If the rooms were as new as the lobby, would be nice. Just feel it is dingy, fresh paint just didn’t help. People at check-in/checkout were nice. People in the room above us were jumping up and down until 10:00 PM and ac unit noisy too. Time to maybe remodel and update? I do read the reviews but didn’t see this. I’m trying to be honest not negative.

  Awful!

  We booked a room for one night for 2 adults and 1 dog. When we got there we were told that it was a smoking room. We didn’t book a smoking room. Nowhere on the confirmation said it was a smoking room. There were no other available rooms. We should have left then & there but we were exhausted and stayed the night. The room was very smoky. The AC didn’t work. The floors were dirty & sticky. There was kibble on the floor. Our 13 year old dog was going crazy over the dog smells and couldn’t settle down. The fire alarm which was outside our door went off several times. I went outside to check and no one else was outside and there were no fire trucks there, but the alarms were loud & disrupted our sleep. We finally got to sleep but the dog couldn’t get calm. It was so bad we got up at 4 am and checked out. We would never go there again. We would rate zero bones if that were an option.

  Clean room, friendly staff

  Hotel was easy to get to from highway. Check-in was easy and staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean. Shower was spotless. Able to walk around the two buildings for the hotel with my dogs and had ample grass space for them to potty. Would definitely stay here again with my dogs.

  Good stop for the night

  Rooms were a decent size and it was a good stopping point for the night. Staff was friendly and had dog treats in the lobby. There was green space for your dog to do their business. It is within walking distance of 3 restaurants depending on what you wanted for dinner. Dogs could be left in the room unattended as long as they were crated. The only real complaint is that it is right next to the highway and our room was facing that way so you could hear traffic from inside of the room.

  Hotel is Good

  Hotel is fine. Clean, nice amenities like coffee in the room, hair dryer, etc. Also had an on-site breakfast. Easy walk to Shoneys as well. Adequate space to walk our dog.

  Excellent for an overnight stay

  We were traveling cross country with 3 yellow labs and on Day 4. The front desk staff was amazingly personable and professional! Special kudos to the maintenance team since the rooms were very clean and the pups weren't sniffing old smells. They were as happy as can be. The only down side for our stay was the uneven bed. It seemed to slant towards our heads so we ended up sleeping on the opposite side of the bed. We would definitely stay here again in our travels.

  Great green spaces and areas to walk your dog. Floors were a type of pergo and a bit slippery; it’s a bit noisy too so if you have a barker, it’s tough!!

  Flat rate pet fee

  We stayed here on our way to New River Gorge. Room was VERY clean! They had mutt mitts at the ends of the building for easy waste removal. We brought our two dogs and they just had a single flat rate pet fee (some places charge you per pet). The floors were vinyl planking so we didn’t have to worry about any accidents our dogs might have had during the night in a new environment. Would definitely stay there again and highly recommend!

  Just so so.....

  The beds were comfortable. But the room was cramped and the whole place just felt old and stale. There was not a dedicated pet area. It was adequate, just not dedicated to pets.

  You get what you pay for here: the basics. Clean enough, comfortable bed; good water pressure. Some might find its proximity to the freeway a little noisy, but we live in the city so it was fine.

  Extremely Loud

  This was okay for a pull off the road for an overnight. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room had a microwave, fridge and Wi-fi. Not the cleanest and between the highway noise and the loud neighbors, I was really happy I was exhausted and could sleep.

  Nice new decor!

  Have stayed here every summer for many years. They are always pleasant and helpful. Dogs are welcome and the pet fee is very reasonable
  I liked the white walls and white bedding. It brightened up the room. Floors were new also
  Like location of motel. Close to interstate(and you can’t hear it in the room). Restaurants within walking distance.
  Have never tried the complimentary breakfast.
