    Hotel Thea Tacoma Ascend Hotel Collection welcomes two dogs up to 80 lbs for an additional fee of $15 per pet, per night, plus a $150 refundable damage deposit. Guests traveling with dogs will be assigned to Double Queen Rooms on the ground floor. Dogs may not be left in the room unattended. There is a fenced, off-leash dog area behind the hotel, but guests must bring their own waste bags. Cats, as well as Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, Chow Chows, Doberman Pinschers, wolf-dog hybrids, and American Bulldogs are not permitted. For same day arrivals, please call 877‑411‑3436 to confirm availability of a pet-friendly room.

      Hotel Thea Tacoma

      It was nice to have a place that will take a big dog, has grass for dog relief and provides poop bags. Staff was helpful and courteous. They're transitioning from a different brand and doing renovation. Between that and Covid regulations, it didn't quite get a 5 bone, but they were good to my dog.

      Good Spot

      Front desk did a great job at accommodating us with issues and did their best to be proactive and resolve them, which was much appreciated! Freeway noise is a real thing and they are doing renovations currently so no lower units are open. But the location was easy to everywhere and the Wapato Park was walkable distance and our pups LOVED it.
