Comfortable enough, but we were on the fifth floor and the 2 elevators were very busy due to a packed hotel. Nice courtyard for the dogs.

We were very happy with our stay at the Holiday Inn in West Charleston. Not exactly a pretty part of town, and there were people drinking in the parking lot, which concerned me, but once we got inside & then into our room, we were very impressed. The lobby is very attractively designed, & our room was very comfortable & nicely decorated as well.

For humans: great bar and restaurant area, clean and comfortable rooms. For dogs: large outdoor area that was fenced in so Maggie (my dog) could run!! Highly recommend to others!!

It was average as far as the room. It felt dark and small. It was very noisy outside and our dogs woke up a lot and barked because of it. We didn’t sleep well at all.

Enclosed garden creates an unexpected & welcome place to walk your dog vs the parking lot/sidewalk only areas in other hotels. Staff was very friendly and welcoming.

Our one night stay assign through was enjoyable. We arrived late with our dog and we were hungry. The desk attendant advised that their bar and grill was open until until 9pm and one side of the indoor area we could sit with our dog. The only negative was the outdoor area for pets to relieve themselves was not very large or clearly marked.

Everyone gave Henry lots of pets, and although he wasn't sure what to make of it, as it was his first stay in a hotel, including elevator rides. It was nice to find a good hotel that allowed a large dog. I would have given 5 if we were on the first floor, for easier walks, and Henry said he would have liked a treat!

Hotel was easy to find along our route. Pool was great. Bar and restaurant area very nice. A few areas to walk the dog. A little noise from the train tracks and a family altercation after midnight right below the room but that’s not the hotels fault.

Really wonderful place to stay with dog. All staff dog lovers. Courtyard for dogs to do their business, rooms great for large kennel. Perhaps dated but clean, nice accommodation, clean and reasonable. Best accommodations of our three day trip!

accommodations were very small, dingy, noisy - we heard the train all night. the hot water for a shower takes forever to get warm. the courtyard to potty the pup was good. that’s it. don’t stay here if you don’t have to.

First room was on the ground floor right next to a game room, building entrance and elevator bank. Could hear a yappy dog inside a few rooms down. Second room on 3rd floor was quieter, but humid, warm, musty and had a stale odor. Overall dingy and although the beds were clean, the carpet was questionable. Thermostat was dated and didn’t work properly. Only reason for 2 stars instead of 1 is that the beds were very comfortable. Definitely NOT worth what we paid.

Not a downtown location or countryside retreat, but it's a nice shiny-modern facility just off the interstate, and close to a dog park where we met up with friends. The in-hotel restaurant seems to get a bum rap, but it's not bad if you keep it simple: they let us carryout cocktails to our room and the classic burgers were fine.

Our room was fine (the bed was a little soft for our liking, but some may like that). The food, however, was terrible. We ate dinner at the hotel because we were tired and the menu looked very good. I had the 8oz pork chop with rice and vegetables. The pork chop was 4-5oz at best. The rice was cold and the green beans were grey and completely uneatable. We had the buffet at breakfast. Both my husband and I found it mostly uneatable. I think they use powdered eggs? In summary, I would recommend if you have a dog and you need a single night’s stay, but don’t eat there!

This place is our home away from home and for the first time bringing our Winny. They welcome you and make your pet feel just as welcome. Everyone was friendly to us and our dog. She was spoiled with toys and attention from the employees. Good walking areas and two potty stations.

I love this hotel and will stay there EVERY time I'm in the Charleston Area. They welcomed my large dog and I very warmly. The room was attractive, clean, and comfortable. They have two pet areas. Although having pets in the restaurant area is discouraged there are tables outside the immediate restaurant area where you can bring your pooch and enjoy food and/or a drink. The staff was super friendly to my shy pup. They recommended www.bringfido.com :) Highly recommend this hotel.

Bed was hard I booked this hotel because I thought breakfast was included I did know you had to pay extra for breakfast I will not ever book with holiday inn .there was other hotel I could have stayed that was less money but they didn't have breakfast included that is the only reason I book here

Very nice. Relatively new hotel with nice full bar off lobby and decent pub food and it serves later than most restaurant pub-restaurants. Indoor swimming pool looked nice but we did not swim. No dogs in pool or restaurant, but that's OK. Rooms clean with nice, firm beds. Friendly staff. An enclosed dog walk is a nice. Free poop bags at several locations. And I don't rate five bones to all. The night after this one on a Thursday spent a Friday at a Sleep Inn in South Carolina that we rated only 1 Bone. Definitely coming back to this Holiday Inn when through Charleston again.
