Kayaked here and took 2 dogs!

This photo was taken at Lake Powell Tribal Park - Antelope Canyon in Page, AZ. Today’s temp was a high of 97. We bought our own kayaks and wow, the hike down to the river was difficult due to so low water levels! Kayaked about 3 miles to Antelope Canyon and only hiked in about half a mile before our dogs were showing signs that the sand was too hot. So we stopped in the shade and had lunch and then hiked quickly back to our kayaks. By 11am, there were lots of kayakers and tour guides and the wind picked up. Kayaking back was fun and the hike back up to the “closed marina except kayakers” was HELL! But we made it and got our dogs into the air conditioned car while we loaded our kayaks and headed back to our hotel.
