  Bad Experience

  Try to avoid this facility if possible. Checking in our dog the woman was rude and sarcastic. Did not take our directions for feeding the dog. The next morning we took our dog out of there, and made arrangements with a Veterinary for the next six days. If I didn't bring a doggy bed, our dog would sleep on a cement slab.

  Beware!!!

  On July 7th, our family’s lives were changed. I received a voicemail from the owner of Doggy Daycare 81147, stating that our dog, Zeke, had a broken leg. I was out of town and returned the call as soon as I got the message. He told me that Zeke had been attacked by our dog, Axle. Zeke was taken to Pagosa Veterinary Clinic. We have been taking our six dogs to Doggy Daycare for twelve years. It was known by the owner and everyone who worked there that Axle was to be kept separate from his family members and other dogs because of his high anxiety while at daycare. Axle is on medication for anxiety and the owner was aware of this condition. The story the owner communicated was that he took a phone call and left our dogs unsupervised. The damage that was done to Zeke’s leg would translate into being unsupervised for a much longer period of time. One of the other employees went to get a dog from the back for a customer. She heard the commotion with my dogs and alerted the owner and another employee. Long story short, Zeke’s leg was amputated because he had two breaks in his leg and it could not be repaired. We are devastated by the negligence of the owner. We entrusted our family members to the care of Doggy Daycare. He had just fired two trusted employees that had taken care of our family for the twelve years. Now we have to live with the long-term damage of this neglect and our family are the ones that suffer. We have requested the owner remove our family photos, etc. from Doggy Daycare 81147 social media. We do not want to support or help to market this daycare. It is an unsafe environment. We do not want another family to experience the hurt that we have.

  Adequate for a short stay, but not great

  I dropped my dog off here for a half-day. The man who checked us in seemed very nice and caring toward my dog. The woman who was there when I picked her up, not so much. I think they left her locked in a cage the whole time without water or a trip outside to the bathroom. When I picked her up, she really had to pee and was extremely thirsty. As soon as we stepped outside the building, my poor baby peed buckets and drank 3 bowlfuls of water. When I asked the woman how everything went, she said nothing but “fine,” so I don’t think anyone looked after her at all.

  Love This Place!!

  I am so thankful to Jeffrey and Maria for taking in our two Yorkies while we were in town. Their daycare and facilities are clean and nice and friendly. I would highly recommend it to anybody who wants to drop off their dog big or small. Thank you again and I’ll see you next time I’m in town.
