  Groomer cut chunk of dog’s ear off

  Our recent experience is one that all potential customers should be aware of. Our pup was in for his routine groom when the groomer cut a large chunk (about the size of a quarter) off his little ear. We were shocked to learn Treats Unleashed did not have an emergency protocol in place nor did they have means to stop the bleeding on site. Our pup was taken to the emergency vet where we spent several hours until the bleeding was under control. The timing (although never good) could not have been worse. We were leaving that same day on vacation (our pups were coming with). We went ahead with our travels as the expense had already been incurred but lost out on much of what we had paid for (due to the 24/7 medical attention our dog needed the first few days).

  After frequenting Treats Unleashed for all of our grooming services for many years, we were appalled to learn they (owner Ian) was only willing to offer a $100 store credit. Their actions are disgraceful! Beware!!

  Worst Grooming and Customer Service!

  I brought my dog in for a simple shed less grooming which was to involve NO cutting of any hair and picked up a dog who is missing ALL of her undercoat, clumps of hair are gone, and has either been partially clipped or her hair has been ripped as it is all different lengths. It is so terrible looking and her coat feels like absolute shit as it’s mostly been ripped out. She also had bald patches that she didn’t have before - it is so bad that our vet even commented and said never to take her back.
  When I called the store the store manager (who hung up on me) told me their only sort of solution is to let me talk to the groomer (who acknowledged she had no mats and therefore NO reason to have bald spots or clumps of hair missing). They absolutely will not refund me or credit me in anyway and my dog is stuck looking like crap until her hair hopefully grows in again. Not to mention the fact that it most likely hurt like hell to have hair ripped out of her bum. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone - shitty grooming and even shittier customer service.

  Edited to add that they also broke my Kurgo multi leash and failed to properly trim her nails. I am not sure what I paid $100 for but it certainly was not a grooming service.
