Overall my experience wasnt nearly as fantastic as others were raving about. Nothing special for my dog, they appeared confused when I said I was alone and would met them on the patio since I had to leave my dog unattended outside. Luckily they weren’t busy. No selection of NA beers. Took forever to get a soda. Asked for a glass of water for my dog, they filled up her water dish but didnt leave me any extra. I felt completely stupid ordering my mahi sandwich. In all my traveling up and down the east coast I have never had someone ask me how I want my mahi. Food was decent.

My family and I had a fantastic experience at Rucker Johns. We were thrilled to find a restaurant with a pet-friendly patio where we could bring our beloved dog, Charlie. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, even bringing out a dish and water for Charlie as soon as we were seated. Throughout our meal, the service was exceptional, and the food was top-notch. Rucker Johns exceeded our expectations, providing a memorable dining experience for our family of four, including our furry friend. We'll definitely be returning!

I was able to corner my dog off and she really enjoyed herself with several patrons and an elderly woman coming over to give her pets. The staff was nice with her and I saw that there were two dogs the night before. They didn't offer water for the dog but I also didn't ask.

We had the nachos and they were great! We sat on the patio with our two small dogs and they brought a water bowl when we asked for it.

My husband and I took our 4 month old pup here on a Saturday afternoon and were promptly seated at one of the two outdoor patios. The shrimp and grits were some of the best I've had! Every menu item we tried was exceptional and were offered samples if we weren't sure. Our server was friendly and gladly brought a bowl of water for our pup upon request. Plenty of shade and a very pleasant atmosphere. We will definitely be back!

We took our 5 month old puppy (saw reviews on bringfido.com) and sat on the side porch. We were immediately asked if we would like a water bowl. Besides our waitress, who paid lots of attention to our puppy, several other servers came out to pet her. We felt very welcomed and taken care of, and our puppy loved the attention.

Rucker Johns, like all other businesses in town, had tied up their outdoor furniture in prep for hurricane Matthew. We called ahead and they prepared outdoor seating for us and Ellie. They were very outgoing, great service and terrific food! Get the croissants! They went above and beyond for us with our boxer!! Many praises!!
