This is a super neat spot in Taos. It took some time to get an outdoor table but the food was fabulous and the shade on the patio was great

Good food. Great place for dogs.
- LauraSep 9, 2021So accommodating!
We loved our stop at Alley Cantina! the food was amazing and the staff was so welcoming and accommodating to our two dogs (a German Shepherd and a Chocolate Labrador). I would definitely recommend this place. For sure 5 bones!
- KellieOct 5, 2019Disappointed.
I was excited about this place after reading the reviews. We say on the patio (seat yourself) with the puppies and waited 15-20 minutes, no waitress came by. Finally, I went inside and told the bartender we were out there. He said he'd get a server out. We waited 15 more minutes, have up and left. Meanwhile, other customers sat down next to us, also getting impatient with no service. 🤷😶 I'm sure the food is wonderful, I wish I could have tried it.
- PaulaJul 21, 2019Great Food, Excellent Location
They have an interior patio with trees so even on a hot day it was comfortable. Water bowls were already out for dogs. Tasty Enchiladas, rellenos and a great happy hour! We loved it!

Just off the plaza in Taos and in the oldest building in Taos this restaurant offers a small but quiet place to grab lunch while shopping. The food and service were surprisingly good. The patio is cool on a warm day and the staff provides a bowl of ice water for the dog.

- EricaMore than a year agoGreat food
The patio was a bit small and they had a couple of tables at the front for non smoking. Smoke still traveled up our way but it wasn't just unbearable. They had bowls of water for the pups along the patio, but not a lot of moving room so my dog just laid next to my chair. The food was terrific and they have incredible margaritas. I have a doberman and many seem intimidated by her, but the people in Taos were very friendly.

Friendly staff, thanks!
- LynneMore than a year agoGreat Historic Locals Joint
We were wandering around the plaza when a friendly local informed us that we could take our dogs on the patio of this place. The patio is a little small, but we found a spot and settled in amongst locals, other dogs, and yes, smokers (it's the outdoors; get over it.) The restaurant is located in the second oldest house in Taos, and they have great margs and solid New Mexican food (the red chili was the highlight).

Patio is cramped and filled with smokers, not a great spot for large(r) dogs or people who want to breathe. Food is OK.
