Reviews
- NoreenOct 6, 2023Awful
I will start by saying this review does not reflect the bar staff. Both bartenders on duty tonight( 10/6/2023 ) were very attentive. It went south after that. After a wait time of 45 minutes (understandable for a Friday in Lake Placid), we were sat and ignored for an additional 25 minutes. We had our dog and our options for places to eat were cut down because of that, but that doesn’t mean we will put up with being ignored. We decided to give you a second chance after awful service on our last visit, but you just can’t seem to get your act together,Lisa G’s. I know my husband complained to the manager, but I doubt that went anywhere.
- JennyOct 5, 2023Very dog friendly
There were no open tables outside when we got there and they let us wait inside. Very dog friendly patio and good food. I would recommend Lisa G’s if you’re in the area with your pup.
- MattAug 28, 2023Great Experience
We come to Lisa G’s every year, this is our first year up with a dog. and it was fantastic. Waiter and team brought and refilled water through the evening - they made him a chicken breast for dinner, and gave him some treats when they would come by. Food is always great here. The wings and drinks are always solid.
- NicoleJul 30, 2023Excellent experience!
We had a fabulous dinner on the covered patio (out of the rain) with our pup. Great view of the river, and our waitress immediately brought out a bowl of water for my pup. The food was amazing with a huge selection and wait staff was pleasant and friendly. 10/10 recommend if you're visiting the Lake Placid area! 🐾🐾
- LisaAug 9, 2021Great location, view, hospitality and food!
Traveling with 2 dogs during a pandemic and 2 GF kids we found this perfect spot thanks to Bring Fido. Lisa G's has outdoor dining, allows dogs, takes reservations on Resy, has a wonderful view of a waterfall and delicious food and excellent waitstaff!
- ErinJul 4, 2021The dog friendliest!
Love this place- they accommodated us and our energetic pup, moved us to the shaded patio with a roof when it started to rain, and Wookiee got a burger patty which he relished. Nice veg options, too!

what a great experience happy we went here ❤️
- JenniferAug 31, 2019Not Dog Friendly To Us
We stopped into Lisa G's because of the dog friendly reviews. My dog is small, he's only 20 lbs. When we stepped inside, we were met by a very frazzled blonde woman. She looked at my dog and then said, "the deck is full" and twirled her ding-bat self around and we never saw her again? She never even offered a wait time? She looked all annoyed that I had a dog. Maybe a hostess with a bug up her butt about dogs? Anyways, we left dissapointed and we could even see the deck from the road, it was not "full" whatsoever. No biggie, we drove into Ray Brook and had some seafood and BBQ at Tail of the Pup. They had a great live band playing and welcomed us with treats, water bowls and a fun vibe. Lots of other folks were enjoying dinner with their pups too! They were crazy busy, but made room for us, their "deck was NOT full." Stupid.
- JenAug 17, 2019Great location, food and staff!
Had a great lunch here on the patio with our dog. They brought over a water bowl for him along with our waters, and were friendly and welcoming. Scenery was amazing, food was great and prices reasonable. Will come back if in the area again!
- LisaJul 31, 2019Best dog friendly place we tried
Love that they seat you on the covered deck, was thinking they would have us sit on the sunny patio (too hot that day) , since we had a dog. Dog got a bowl of water and we had felafel , which was great. Not dry, not greasy. We even got takeout from Lisa Gs another night that we were in town- also great. Liked this place not only for the food, but the dogs were not crowded in, and were not in anyone's way, as they sometimes were in other local dog friendly spots.
- PaigeSep 3, 2018Addie loved the doggie hamburger
Forget the kids meal... this place has a doggie meal! When asked for a kids burger for our pup, the waiter asked if a puppy burger would suffice. They brought us a beef patty plain for 5 bucks for our dog, and she ate it all up!
The human food was also good, but the dog-friendliness makes this restaurant worth it :)
- AlexMay 13, 2018Overall awesome place!
Not only was the food and location amazing, they were great to our pups! Tai edamame, shrimp tacos, and mango margarita were BOMB, btw. We will definitely be returning with our two puppers!
- AmandaFeb 11, 2018favorite place to eat in lake placid
Lisa G's is a great place in Lake Placid. We usually eat on the patio with our dog, which overlooks a gorgeous small falls. At night, they have really pretty lighting as well. I have favorites on the menu-- nachos and maple bourbon wings are way above average. The staff is very friendly and when they bring us water, they also bring our dog water. I've been in situations where they seem understaffed so service is fairly slow and not 100%. But most of the time, it is awesome. We always come here when we travel to Lake Placid.
- MonicaMore than a year agoNo so wonderful
Well let me start by saying they were. Very nice to my dog. That counts the most. As far as our dinner. My husband thought his burger was great my salad was a total wage of money. Waiter said he could give me a quinoa salad with falafel. What he didn't say was they charged 75 cent more for each one. The salad was an entire plate of spinach with maybe a half cup of quinoa .....that's a big maybe......and a few pickled onions. Also they would benefit from adding heaters into their outside deck. Fall is such a wonderful season but chilly at night. That's were they seat you if you have a pet. No heaters , service was ok, and over priced This was my first time in Lake Placid. I will be back but will not be eating here again. We found many other pup friendly places with better food, service, and heated outdoor areas or areas for your dog.

Friendly, fun staff. We bought our dog a burger, and the waiter made sure she was pleased.

What a great place. Not just dog tolerant, but dog welcoming. They seated us outside on a nice night, But they had a covered porch and even a bar area that were dog friendly if you hit a rainy day. The food was terrific. They even brought Emma a real dog dish with fresh water! We went back for a second night!
- KateMore than a year agogreat experience
First time bring my 6 month old puppy to a restaurant. Since the outdoor deck was still covered in snow, they allowed the dog in the bar area which was fine. Very friendly service and really good food.
