Visited the White Duck Taco Shop in Skyland area. Fish taco was delicious! Jerk chicken was also tasty. Frozen margaritas were different, but tasted good… resembles a lime pina colada. Very laid back, casual atmosphere. There’s indoor tables and clean bathrooms. They also have lots of outdoor picnic tables so we were able to bring our leashed dogs. Would recommend!

The variety and flavors of the tacos were outstanding. The patio was clean and accessible for our dog.

this place was delish
we ordered BBQ Carnita,, Bulgogi, Fish, Crispy Chicken, and Gyro tacos plus street corn and chips with queso. yum yum yum - StefanieJan 24, 2020Lots of space
We are here tonight but opted for leaving our dogs in the car while we ate quickly. Dogs can be outside while you eat at picnic tables, but it was wet and really muddy from all of the rain. It would prob be nice in good weather, but like other reviews said, you'd have to leave your dog w/ someone when you wanted to order.

Dog friendly back patio

We love the food and it is incredibly reasonable. But if you are bringing a dig, bring a friend. The restaurant offers counter service inside where dogs are not allowed. Park the dog in back, outside and then order the food.

A friend back home insisted that I try these tacos—they were amazing. I got the Jerk Chicken and the Steak & Cheese. They have a great patio with a lot of space. The ONLY downfall is that you have to order inside & you have to leave your dogs outside. I was traveling solo, so I didn’t have anyone to watch them. Sometimes the line can be long, so I made it a point to get there right at 11:30 when they opened. I had to leave my dogs on the back patio for about 5-7 minutes—there were some construction workers having lunch, who kept a watch over them. The thing about Asheville is that the people love dogs and many will even offer to help you by watching them.

I second the opinion that this may be a tricky place to eat if you're bringing your dog. I was traveling solo with my dog, and there was no way to order outside. When I asked what I needed to do to order, they suggested I tie my dog up outside. It was only a few moments, but I was very nervous. Fortunately, a friendly family were finished eating, and kept my dog entertained with many pets while he waited for me to return. If they hadn't been there, this may have been pretty bad. So happy ending to the story, but no thanks to White Duck. Great food, but leave your dog at home.

Their tacos and sauces were amazing. The outside seating was fine. Picnic tables, very casual. The staff was friendly to us and our dog. Did I say the food was wonderful? This will be a regular visit each time we go back to Asheville.

Had the duck with mole and lamb gyro tacos - excellent !!
- CrystalMore than a year agodifficult to order
No menus or staff taking orders outside make it difficult to order when you're not sure what to get (first timer). Take a picture the lady says. Sure, no problem! Lol.
