We loved Woody’s - excellent service and food/drinks, and the patio was extremely dog friendly!

Great food! Great staff!
As far as dogs go, they are super pet friendly! The space is on the small side but as long as your dog is well mannered (and not nervous), the space is plenty! - SheriSep 18, 2021Great food and service!
Loved Woody's! The food was service were great. Super nice to our pup and perhaps the best crab cakes I've ever had.
- EdwinAug 30, 2021Nice Spot for Crabcakes
We came with our 65lb chocolate lab. We read a review that said the porch area was small, but we had plenty of room. We went before the beach early dinner rush. Enjoyable meal and friendly staff. Add it to your list for sure.

Our dog was spoiled and the food was great. Couldn't ask for anything Better!
- ChristinaSep 22, 2020Very Small, Not COVID Safe
The outdoor seating area is best suited to small dogs. Even a medium dog is too big. There was no attempt to seat people far apart. COVID-precautions were not evident. Service was indifferent.
- TimothySep 14, 2020Great Patio (and Crab Cakes!)
One of the best crab cakes I've ever had! And to make it better, they have a nice, covered patio that is dog-friendly. The staff was friendly and brought us a water bowl for our senior beagle. Overall, just a great dining experience.

NIce little restaurant with outdoor pet friendly seating in December which was very comfortable in an enclosed tent area. Nicely decorated and my two dogs were welcomed. Attentive and pleasant staff. Crab cakes were fabulous.
- Mary AnnMore than a year agoSmall deck area for pups
Great food! Staff was attentive to my dog Schooner, brought out a water bowl for my pup. Very small deck area though, quite crowded seating for patrons and their furry friends.
- CharlesJul 29, 2018Great Food, Friendly Staff, But Stressful
This restaurant is "dog friendly" in the sense that it allows dogs and the staff is friendly. The food was excellent but we would not bring our dog here again.
The restaurant is really tiny and the tables on the outdoor patios where dogs are allowed are small and close together. The patio faces the sidewalk and a busy street and there is a lot of distraction. It was just not very comfortable and despite the fact that the food was good and the staff friendly it was kind of a stressful meal.
- More than a year agoVery Pet Friendly
Woody’s in Dewey Beach is an amazing restaurant, voted best crab cakes in Delaware for a number of years and been featured on the Travel Channel. Eat on the patio and bring your k-9 companion and you’ll be all set! The staff loves dogs as well as their customers. We brought our pup, Cam there twice in three days.
- SueMore than a year agoGreat Service, glad they were open
We headed to Dewey Beach to relax and we did, but we were unaware the whole town closes down. So thankful Woodys was open. The service was great! Employees were so happy to have many dogs and their owners there. Great selection of vegetarian options and fast service. Also the restaurant across the side street was open and we sat on their deck (alone cuz no one else is in town) but great service again and very dog friendly. Thanks for feeding my very hangry hubby and me!
- KimMore than a year agoGreat Crabcakes but non-existent customer service skills
Ever since we started attending the Golden Jubilee in Dewey Beach, Woody's has been one of our go restaurants but the past couple of times the service and attitude of the staff has really left a bad taste in my mouth. We were, once again, in town for the Jubilee and an extended vacation and decided we simply had to have Woody's crabcakes so to avoid the issues we had encountered in the past we ordered carryout. When I arrived to pick up our meals the girl at the bar was not the least bit friendly and in fact her attitude made me feel as though my presence was a burden. The place was not that busy and as the former manager of a very busy seafood restaurant in the Linthicum area I know what a customer should expect and this was the polar opposite so I'm not quite sure if this is just general practice or if only carry out customers get the attitude because no tip is involved. I nicely asked if I could get some of the beef tips for our golden who was in the car and that was greeted not only with attitude but when the gentleman she asked to get it brought it back he tossed it on the bar and it wasn't until about 10 minutes later she pushed it towards me saying "here are the beef tips you asked for". Considering I was waiting on a carryout order one would think at least 1 of the 2 people involved in getting the tips would have the foresight to perhaps put it in a to go container or at least cover them up with something. Another gentleman came in and was treated the same way but a bit less frostily and when both our meals came out she made sure he got his first for some reason. I've always been the type of person to tip even on carryout orders but this time I refused. I understand that Dewey is a small town with a limited number of places to grab a bite later in the evening but it seems to me as though Woody's feels that they don't have provide good customer service in order to keep people coming back. The only reason I gave 3 stars is because of their delicious crab cakes that we order every time we are in town. Sure do hope for their sake that quality doesn't start to slip because I find it hard to believe that people are patronizing their establishment for any other reason. Simply not acceptable to have employees with such attitude and no personality, I think it's time hubby and I find a new place to get our crab cake fix.
- StacyMore than a year agoGreat food, staff, location
The patio is heated and feels great on chilly spring days. The staff is great with dogs, and the food was delicious!
- TrishMore than a year agoGreat Food, Very dog friendly.
The owner and staff were wonderful and so nice to our two dogs. They brought out some steak pieces for them to eat and countless bowls of water. The food was delicious. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was that it took a very long time to get our food. I would definitely go back again, but not if I was in a rush to get somewhere after.
- MaggioMore than a year agosmall but nice.
Very welcoming to dog owners. Wait staff came out with water bowls and steak ends for the dogs. Human food was also tasty.
- TrishMore than a year agoGreat Crabcakes Horrible Swevice
Many reasons to stay away. Allows dogs but service was awful. I will never go back. I ordered soup and my husband ordered Crabcakes platter. They charged 2 dollars because I shared one of the 2 Crabcakes. Go elsewhere. Staff was very nasty.

Came here after not being able to find any parking in Rehoboth. Really good reasonably priced food! The front deck is dog friendly. Shaded and with fans. Great on a hot day. Servers didn't offer anything to dog but we had our own bowl and water, so it was ok. Overall good experience.
- HollyMore than a year agoGreat food & dog friendly
Came upon this place last week during the Dewey Beach Doodle Romp. Food is fantastic (crab cake, French dip, etc). Plus catered to the dogs on the front deck. Will definitely be returning.
