Right downtown on the Strand. We had no wait on Friday afternoon. They had live music on the third floor, which we could easily hear on the second floor where dogs were welcome. Good food and reasonably priced.
- KevinOct 28, 2023Great Spot
We live in Galveston and there are very few places that are truly dog friendly. This one is pretty good. You are limited to one patio area. Food is good and great drink/beer selection. My favorite spot is the third floor rooftop area, which is NOT accessible with dogs :(. Top dog friendly places in Galveston would be Marina Bar Grill, Texas Tail Distillery and Stuttgarden. Most places are just outside seating on the sidewalk.
- SarahJun 25, 2022Dog friendly!
When we arrived we the big sign on first floor outdoor patio saying dog friendly, then another sign in a glass case by doors stating 1st floor patio was pet friendly. Went inside to find a sign saying 1st floor was closed but 2nd and 3rd floors were open. I found a staff behind the bar and questioned if we could take our pets up. Yes! 2nd or 3rd floor patios allowed dogs. We used the elevator to get to the 2nd floor patio since our dogs were in a stroller. On patio there was a dog bowl for use, we had our own travel ones, but nice to see available. We thoroughly enjoyed a delicious meal, for sure the huge soft pretzel to dip in Gouda fondue, beef stroganoff, prime steak au jus and Mac n cheese were our families faves, all delicious!! Other families with dogs also came to 2nd floor patio. Great breeze, shade and nice views of historic downtown and people watching. Very nice enjoyable dining with dogs experience!

they have a special. 3 tacos and a draught beer for 10.00. I had a Bloody Mary though
- MitchMay 23, 2021Dog friendly patio
we were able to walk right up and pick our table outside. they brought a dog bowl and took good care of us.
- MelissaApr 23, 2021Good food
This place has amazing food but I only gave it 3 bones based on a couple things. The wait was pretty long for it to be off season and 2:30 in the afternoon. And I brought my dog dog because it said dog friendly but they won’t allow the dogs to eat. I always share my food with my pup when we go to patios. What’s the point of being dog friendly if they can’t have a bite of some food while your eating in front of them? The waitress was very kind and sweet and like I said the food was amazing. I will go back if i’m without my dog but when vacationing with the dog we will not visit again.

Dogs are allowed on the bottom patio but they wouldn’t allow me to order food for them. Disappointing
- VelmaMay 10, 2020Very Welcoming
We brought our fur baby out for the first time and she was a little unsure about it. Our server was great and very patient with her. A bowl of iced water was brought out for our girl right away. We will definitely be back...plus the food was great!
- NaomiMar 3, 2020Dogs Welcome!
Very sweet staff, good food, good beer, and overall pleasant atmosphere. Dogs are welcome on the bottom patio, where they were promptly brought fresh water and lots of pettings!
- EllenNov 19, 2019Great Food, Great Beer Selection, Dog Friendly.
We had the hot bratwurst and Jager schnitzel. Both were very large portions and delicious. Beer selection is very good. You can have your dog on the first level porch. They now offer full-service food and draft beer selections on the first floor porch. Staff was friendly and brought out a water bowl for our
dog. Highly recommended. - AletiaSep 10, 2019Dogs Allowed But Barely
They allow dogs on their small front patio but then you don’t have access to the rest of the place. I wouldn’t care so much if you were allowed to get beer on draft from the second floor and bring it down. So you’re stuck with the limited selection of pricey cans and bottles. Boo
- CyndiAug 20, 2019Good eats!
After driving 3 hours to get to Galveston, we went to the Lindale dog park first to let our dogs stretch their legs. Then we came here to eat on their first floor outdoor patio. The waiter, Jacob, was very friendly, and provided excellent service. He lovess dogs, and even let us know they had dog beer. My son got the jagerschnitzel, my husband got the poutine, I got the pulled pork sliders, and my daughter-in-law got the grilled cheese. All of it was very good , and the service was excellent.
- ShelleyAug 5, 2019Great Experience
This restaurant was very welcoming to our dog! We have a 56lb Australian Shepherd. We were able to go right on to the patio. There were dog bowls filled with water. The waiter came to us so we wouldn’t have to individually go inside to order. The food and beer were also great! They said they even had a beer for dogs!
- TracyJun 28, 2019Yummy Brats And Big Umbrellas
Yummy brats with lots of variety. Big umbrellas for shade on the patio with very helpful waitress. Thank you!
- AngelaDec 22, 2018Problem
My husband and I called just to confirm they are pet friendly. The lady that answered the phone made sure to tell us that small dogs “only” are allowed and not big dogs(not even on the patio).
- CarolineMore than a year agoParking Problem
When we arrived on a lazy mid afternoon Friday, there was no free parking available. It cost $10 to park and the food and service were mediocre.
- AlysonMore than a year agoNo longer at this location
The new location (old Fudruckers building) isn’t really dog friendly as the only outdoor area is the rooftop bar.
- JenniferMore than a year agoChill place
Took my very small pup out to eat for the first time after the beach. I sat him on the seat next to me and no one minded. They brought him a bowl of water and there were even hooks on the table I could clip his leash to! The food was good, I recommend the cheese steak!
- BrittneyMore than a year agoAwesome Everything
This was the first restaurant I took my dog with me down there and it was awesome. The waitress brought him water, and made all over him (he's an attention hog). Some of the other patrons even came over to see him. The food was great as well and quite big portions for the price. Patio was nice even though it was a little warm out there were fans to keep cool. And the patio is large enough that several dogs can be there without bothering each other. I would recommend this place!

Great service and relaxing environment!! They brought our dogs water and loved on them!!
- MicheleMore than a year agoNot great
I am here posting live and I have asked for a bowl of water for my dog 3 times. I don't find them particularly friendly to me or my dog. Haven't tasted the food yet but I doubt I would come back
- Vona & TinnerMore than a year agoAwesome place
Just needed to get away, so me and my Tinner just ran away for 3 days... I took her everywhere with me all down on the Strand. Had a few Beers and a Sandwich at the Stuttgarden Tavern.. The waitress was very nice and even brung out a bowl of ice water for her and refreshed it while we were there... We will certainly be back this fall...

Was here on a Sunday afternoon. There was live music which I always enjoy and they brought a bowl of water for my dog without me having to ask.
