The view was amazing! Food was great. They provided water for the dogs. The waitress just ignored them. I'd eat here again.

Here now with our rescue corgi/terrier/chihuahua mix - they automatically brought dog water and didn’t mind him sitting in my lap on the patio. If you’ve got a well behaved dog that’s just a little more needy this place has more lax rules than others as long as doggo is reasonably trained. Great experience!

The staff was very nice and helpful about our dogs, offering them water. It was easy to get a table as I called ahead, approx 2 hrs. The food was good, a bit on the pricey side however the surroundings and the location are great.

It was average food at above average prices, but the ambiance was worth it. Nice waterfront location in seaport village. We lucked out that they had a table on patio available upon our arrival. No problem for our german shepherd to join us.

My husband and I took our Frenchie here for dinner the other day. We called ahead and made a reservation for the patio. (Small, only about 7 tables out there). The food and service was amazing. We will definitely be going back when we visit San Diego again

All of the waiters and hostesses were so friendly and brought her water and kept checking in on me and the puppy. Food was great as well and a good patio view at sunset. We will be back.

We were seated on the patio and greeted by a dog loving waitress. She tok our order promptly and brought out pooch some water on a warm San Diego day. The food, however was bland and not the fresh seafood you would expect on the water. It was a great view and a comfortable place to dine with our four-legged child.
- AnnaMore than a year agoPier Cafe: Get a new hostess!
I wish I could tell you what the food was like... We were very excited to eat there last week with our furry son, Dexter. But... The hostess first looked annoyed that we had a dog. Not sure if she was scared of dogs or what her problem was, but if so, she probably shouldn't work at a dog friendly restaurant. She then seated us and in order to avoid contact with our dog, (who is mixed breed, super calm, quiet and about 28 pounds soaking wet) THREW our silverware onto the table. It was appalling. We were the only people being seated, so it wasn't that she was busy. We discussed it for about two minutes and then decided to leave. I know what you're thinking, but I NEVER do things like that. I am very understanding, having worked in food service myself. I just really think they should get rid of this hostess. She was so rude. If she's that scared of dogs, she should find a new job. We went to Buster's instead for less of a view but great food and great service.

We were very satisfied with this restaurant as they were very accommodating to our little pitbull puppy Paisley! The waitress even brought her a water dish! The restaurant is located in Seaport Village, which is very puppy friendly as well! :)
