The outdoor space is not only dog friendly but very pretty. Service is great and food is awesome.

We ate dinner at McClintock's the second week in May. It was very cold and when the waitress asked us if there was anything she could get us, we said, "a heater!" We ate as fast as we could. Other reviewers said that there were heaters but there were none at our visit. The food and service were fine.

Wonderful outside seating by a stream. Brad our server was great with our pooch and brought her a fresh bowl of water.

Higuera street is a one way street and we were lucky enough to find parking right in front of the restaurant. The manager was out front making potential patrons feel welcome and as we were trying to find enough quarters to feed the parking meter, he told us we could park free after 6:00. My wife told him were were coming to eat and wanted to know the path to the patio and he told us the route and we walked back there. The back side of McClintock's faces a small creek running through town. There is a walkway along the creek with trees and greenery all around. When we got to the restaurant patio, our waiter already knew we were coming and had our table ready. They brought our dog a bowl of water and even got barked at for his trouble.
The food was --AMAZING-- Thick, juicy, New York steaks cooked exactly the way we ordered them (medium rare). The staff was responsive and friendly and the surroundings were ethereal. Not even 50 feet from the road and we felt miles away from the city. They have heaters if it gets chilly, so any time of the year is a good time to go. We thought the food was reasonably priced and the staff went above and beyond to make us and our mini Aussie happy customers.
