We asked to sit at the picnic table away from other patrons since we were going to have a small group of diners and three dogs, but we were refused and sat on the patio. That's fine, I get that maybe no one was servicing the other area. Unfortunately we were right under a speaker, which was obnoxiously loud. Poor puppy ears. The service was sparse, but relatively friendly, someone did offer one of our dogs a treat. One meal came out before all the others. Then once the rest of the food was served, the flies descended. I mean, a swarm of flies. We actually tried to eat as fast as we could to just leave. Our waiter gave us a tool for the table to help keep the flies away but it didn't work. My husband and I have driven by multiple times and the outside makes it look like a great place, lots of outdoor seating for when we travel with the dogs and such unique look. We called ahead to make sure the dogs were welcome, but they're really not set-up to be pet friendly if they are willing to sit patrons with dogs in the middle of a busy service area and with loud music. But what really killed the whole experience was the flies. 1, 2, or maybe a dozen I get -- if you're eating outside it comes with the territory. But at least 100 were surrounding our table if there was no breeze on the patio. Yuck! We probably wont make this one of our vacation stops again.

- GeotoneMore than a year agoseafood restaurant with picnic area for pets.
Pets are allowed to dine in the field next to the restaurant. A fish market and family restaurant. With decent food. We enjoyed everything. Ordered the tempura shrimp with the marmalade sauce. Fresh and delish. Split the surf and turf for lunch. The strip steak was tender a tad over cooked but still yummy. Loved the limp crab cake and corn bals. Nothing fancy just a decent pit stop along rye 13.
