Delicious food, great service, kindness to our dog - highly recommend!
- DavidSep 24, 2023Glad we stopped here for lunch.
Great service with authentic German cuisine. The goulash and the gypsy schnitzel were both delicious. Save room for dessert because the homemade apple strudel is not to be missed. The patio is dog friendly with water bowls and treats for the pups.
- HilaryApr 10, 2023Very welcoming to dogs
We had the most pleasant experience with our dogs. It had rained the night before and the outdoor area was still wet when we stopped by for lunch. We were sat inside in a back room with our two dogs. The waitress was extra nice and very attentive.

This restaurant has a great terrace to sit with your dog, the staff even brought water for our dog. The food is great, I recommend the goulash.

Can bring the dog inside so perfect there. Warning: while waiting outside there are some cats hanging out eating food the restaurant left food for
- LynneDec 23, 2021Great German food & service
Delicious food, friendly service and heated “patio” room was perfect for us and our Charlie on a cold night after strolling through cute Helen all day. We even ordered him a chicken breast. It was also open later than several other spots.

I have been here a few times with my dog after a nice hike in the mountains and it's the perfect place for good food with your pup! I lived in Germany and the food is very good, very authentic. The dog friendly patio is perfect for any time of the year with lots of space. Super Lecker und Danke für alles :)

First time in Helen and I checked into many restaurants but I’m sure glad we picked this one. Our server suggested the sampler platter and it was perfect. Food was great and service was too. This is a can’t miss place in Helen. Weather was cold and they have a heated closed in patio to allow pets inside. They were extreamly accommodating to our pup. This is a definite place we will return to. Please do yourself a favor and don’t miss it.
- MichelleJan 30, 2018LOVED it!
After we were turned away by most restaurants here as they only allow dogs in their outdoor seating areas(which are currently closed as it’s January and in the mid to low 30s) we called this lovely restaurant. We initially called because they had typical German food as well as steak (gotta make sure the pup gets his beef in) and we wanted to just get take out. We still asked and voila they actually allow dogs. We raced over and were seated indoors and received awesome service and food. The owner, who’s a dog lover herself, came over to chat and pet the pup. Awesome experience. We will come here for dinner every night for the rest of our stay in Helen.

Very welcoming to our pup, got us a place on the patio and brought him some water. Service was great, food exceptional. Will definitely go
again when we come back! - AlexMore than a year agoExcellent
Service was fantastic. They were so sweet and accommodating to us and our 2 60lb dogs. We were sat on an inside porch out of the hot sun. Fans and AC for our dogs to cool off while we ate. They immediately brought water bowls for the pups. The food was amazing and everyone was very nice. We would eat here once a day if we could.

We visited after a long day of driving. The staff was very welcoming and tried their best including bringing cooled water for our dog. The only drawback is that families with dogs must sit outside and the outside is not very nice and also exposed to sun and heat.
