  Confusing and rude

  Took dog here and was turned away rudely by the hostess. Boyfriend offered to walk dog while friend and I ordered food since this place is hard to get a spot at. Once we sat down, our waiter said dogs actually were allowed. I asked that they confirm with the manager, and he did and again said dog was welcome out on the patio where we were sitting. As soon as my boyfriend came back with our dog, the hostess came back and argued with us. She said “because there are cats and a busy road nearby.” which doesn’t make sense— we can make sure our dog is safe near a busy road (but the road wasn’t even busy).

  we had already ordered our food so it was shocking to be told to leave by the hostess. another waiter brought our food out and was shocked and apologetic that we had to box up our food. they comped our appetizer over it all, but i could not believe how argumentative the hostess was over an internal miscommunication.

  we did what we were told. no dogs allowed? okay. oh, actually, dogs are allowed? okay…. and then told to leave. truly ridiculous.

  pizza wasn’t worth being spoken to as if we were intentionally being sneaky to bring the dog.
