At the Lobster House, only service dogs are allowed at the actual restaurant on the schooner. You can sit with a dog at the self seating area where you order from the Raw Bar or Market. Jennifer from the raw bar brought our dog water just when she saw us looking for a table!!!!!

We didn't know where to go sit and not one worker was helpful or welcoming. if you're bringing your pup, only the takeout menu is available for you and the food was just ok. We will not be returning.

we didn’t realize dogs were allowed here but I’m glad we didn’t bring him because it was extremely crowded even in off season, no other dogs there

Dogs are allowed on the dock/outdoor dining area, which has a more casual menu than indoors. Most folks were friendly about the dog being there - there were no other dogs when we went so doesn’t seem to be a huge hot spot for dogs to visit. Food and drinks were great - would recommend.

We went well watching in North Cape May, and this restaurant was right nearby. But we had our dog with us, so we checked bringFido for nearby dog friendly restaurants – and The Lobster House was by far the closest one in the area. But we kept on doubting it really was dog friendly, because we drove around the buildings and did not even see an outdoor section – there were tons of people waiting around to be seated, and it looked like an indoor-only place. However, we parked and went to ask the front desk – they said that we can order takeout and then bring our dog around to seat ourselves outdoors. Once we got our order in, we were surprised by how many outdoor seats they had – it was sort of in a little cove between the building and the docks. They had live music, and the fisherman kept bringing in fresh catches – a lively nighttime energy. It was hard to get a table because it was first come first serve and the busy part of the evening when we arrived, but we seated ourselves finally and had a great time with our dog. We would definitely go back if we were in the area, especially if we were with the dog.
