  Something changed…

  I’ve been bringing my dog there ~once/twice a month for almost 2 years and never had any issues; we typically get our coffee to-go and on the few occasions we’ve hung out there we have always sat out on the patio. In the dozens of times we’ve previously visited, the staff have always been warm and inviting to me and my pup when we are in line to order or standing off to the side waiting for our coffee, always inside the shop. However, today that changed….it wasn’t even very busy, several empty tables and only one person in line ahead of us (there have been times we have visited and the line has been out the door and standing room only inside the shop and usually at least one other dog), so we went in like usual, waited our turn and ordered, to which the person taking our order was friendly as usual and made zero acknowledgment of my dog but things changed immediately after I stepped away to wait for my coffee as an employee (maybe a manager) came out from behind the counter to ask me if my dog was a service animal (to which I replied “no”) and then proceeded to tell me that dogs are not allowed inside the shop and asked that I wait on the patio and tie him up out there when I come back in to pick up my order. She then proceeded to inform me that in future I would need to tie him up outside prior to ordering. I was very taken aback by this and ultimately by the time she finished explaining all this my coffee was ready so I grabbed it and left. I have no idea if their policy changed or they just decided to enforce an existing policy that was previously ignored but I fear I won’t be frequenting Pegasus as often now since I typically went out of my way with it having been the only dog-friendly coffee shop on the island. It does seem their patio remains dog-friendly but as I am typically alone when I visit and I am not the type to tie my dog up on the sidewalk, the ability for me to visit in the capacity I previously have no longer works unfortunately.

  Great dog friendly coffee shop

  I visited expecting to only be allowed to have my dog with me on the outdoor patio, but they also happily let me bring her with me inside and even gave her a pup cup!

  Love Everything About This Place

  Thiss island fixture is one of my faves! From its waterfront perch, dog friendly patio, cozy cottage vibe, great coffee and delicious inventive food its a "dont miss this" kind of place.
