- Oni's MomApr 30, 2022We LOVE it here
We went about 3 years ago and it was such a fun and relaxing time to have with your dog and friends. It was a perfect place to celebrate Oni's birthday and it's close to the dog beach. Oni enjoyed the bone shaped pool the most.

yappy hour is a great time to let your dog run around off leash and make some friends. just keep in mind there’s a $5 cash cover/donation to the local aspca

This is a dog’s paradise! We all have a blast every time we go! To see all the dogs living their best life and making friends is priceless! So glad places like this exist! A customer for life!
- ValerioJul 16, 2021Horrible hours
It was Friday and we were near Asbury Park after an afternoon at the beach with our dog. perfect occasion to check out the highly rated Wonder Bar.
We make a small detour and get there at 7:15 pm, only to find out that the dog section closes at 7pm ! I guess the management at Wonder Bar figures that all the people with dogs turn into Florida retirees ☹️ - WalterJul 8, 2019Fantastic Yappy Hour
During Yappy Hour, this is a great place to bring the pups, let them play and enjoy a few drinks. Very well run. They have a fenced in area for the dogs that includes a sandy beach area and deck with dog pools.

Yappy hour was so much fun. A tiki bar and a dog park, what could be better? Our dog loved playing in the pools and on the sand and we enjoyed relaxing with drink in hand.
- NicoleMore than a year agoGreat Yappy Hour!
The bouncers and security were very good about making sure owners understood their rules and followed them. Dogs were allowed to run free off leash and even play in puppy pools while owners enjoyed adult beverages. Amazing experience!
- DanielApr 15, 2018Great establishment!
Everyone is really friendly, it's a good way to let your dog wander and have fun with other dogs while you imbibe. My only recommend would be more shading for the humans who burn more easily. Otherwise, I'll be back once the weather improves! While you can't eat food on the patio, you can watch them from the eating area or there are a lot of great dog-friendly establishments nearby.
- JillMore than a year agoYou cant have dinner with your dog!!! No free parking
I take my dog to many outdoor eating areas. Thought this was the same type of thing. After driving around looking for free parking (there is NONE) and paying $5 for parking, we walked over expecting to be able to sit and have dinner with our doggie. NOPE! No dogs allowed in the eating area. BUT you can DRINK in the dog area, or go eat and leave your dog with a bunch of strange dogs whose owners are either NOT there, or are getting drunk. And they told me no dogs in the eating area for SAFETY reasons??? sure, my dog laying at my feet while I eat is unsafe, but leaving her with dogs that may not be polite while their owners are drunk is safe??? "Hey joe look at my dog chewing on that dogs leg, pretty funny huh...buuuurp" yeah... ok... sure.

A spontaneous trip to NJ with our pup had us stumble upon this bar. It is the greatest place I've ever been. So dog conscious. There are rules you and your dog must abide by to make sure everyone gets along and if anyone gets out of hand, there is a doggy time out pen where the dog and the owner go to calm down. Huge beach like area with plenty of "water bowls" for the dogs and lots of beach chairs and bar seating for their humans. If your dog is used to going to a dog park this is the perfect place for you both to relax and have a good time. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful if you're from out of town. They even suggested doggy friendly restaurants near by if we didn't want to eat there.
- JimMore than a year agoAmazing, Unique Place for Dogs to Take Their Humans!
What an amazing place. One block off the beach, a large fenced in area, a bar with reasonable prices, chaise lounges, picnic tables and happy happy dogs and their owners all chilling. The place is supervised in case any Fidos have too much to drink and get aggro, but the many times I have been there never seen it happen. Why can't humans just sniff each other and get on with it? No posturing just fun. Love the place.

This place is amazing for dogs. Their needs are thought of first with plenty of room to run around and play, huge water bowls, pools to cool down, and an obstacle course. Dogs must be off-leash and no food in the doggie area, you can have a drink from the bar though. Food is served in a separate fenced area where you can keep an eye on your pooch. I wish they had more umbrellas/coverings because it gets hot!

My 2 Great Pyrenees are regulars at the doggy yappy hour every Thursday in the summer. They love to run around with all of their dog friends. We humans love to see all of the different dogs from Chihuahuas to Great Pyrenees while having drink with our fellow dog lovers.
