Village Cheese Shanty
This Leelanau County spot has four pet-friendly picnic tables where you can sit with your dog. You have to place a to-go order as there is no table service outside. The Village Cheese Shanty has local cherry products, Upper Michigan wines, and over sixty imported cheeses. They offer a number of sandwiches made in wraps, baguettes, and pretzel rolls like the Third Coast, with chicken and Maytag bleu cheese, and the South Shore, with ham and dill Havarti. Open daily 8am-6pm from April to late October.
