Very dog-friendly, though less organized than I would like.

Their website could be more helpful for people traveling through the area. Rules are not listed anywhere on the site. There is no event calendar, so customers won’t know if events like trivia or karaoke might be happening. A physical calendar inside the restaurant shows dates for that month’s events. The drinks menu only shows the non-alcoholic options. There is no frequently asked questions page or info on where to park upon arrival.

The restaurant's parking is extremely limited. Thankfully, my husband and I parked a couple of businesses away during closed hours for that business. All nearby parking lots were full by mid-evening, yet the restaurant was nowhere near capacity.

Upon walking up to the restaurant, it is unclear where patrons are supposed to enter, especially if they have a dog with them. Dogs are not allowed into the indoor area at all. There is an entrance with signage that mentions the dog park is only open to members, though upon speaking to an employee, it appears that their membership program is no longer active. The signage also mentions that dogs need to be up to date on vaccines, though there was no check-in process for pups, so the business has no way of ensuring that the dogs on site are indeed fully vaccinated.

The restaurant itself is counter service only, with two windows at which to order if customers are outdoors. They give you a number to take to your table, though ours was constantly getting knocked over or off the table due to the wind. As a first-time customer, the counter service was not immediately apparent, thus a little confusing. The food was mostly Americana, and they do have a full bar. Their margarita flight seemed to be the most popular.

Several reviews mentioned the outdoor tables had leash hooks on them for dogs, though I only saw one. The majority of tables did not have them, and I noticed many dog owners either holding leashes or tying them around table legs. Several outdoor tables were very wobbly and didn't seem well taken care of. There did not appear to be water bowls for dogs in the outdoor dining area, and customers had to constantly refill those in the dog play areas. Food is served in non-breakable containers, though glass bottled beers can be brought into dog areas, which raises a concern about broken glass in paws. There was also an outdoor wall with broken lightbulbs, which can be included in the broken glass concern. Meal clean-up appears to be fully on the customer, so it's reliant on trusting customers to be good people and tossing empty food and drink containers (we noticed several groups leaving their trash on tables when leaving). It's also important to note that smoking is allowed in the outdoor dining area, so those with sensitivities should be aware of that.

There are two fenced-in dog play areas, one for small breeds and one for medium-large breeds. Both are on the small side, particularly for how large the outdoor dining area is. Neither has any staff members attending them, so owners must watch their dogs carefully in case play gets intense. Neither park really has room for dogs to run, especially with the agility course items in the large-breed area. Drinks are allowed in the parks, but there are not tall enough surfaces to put drinks down out of play distance from the dogs, so it's honestly best not to have them in the dog park.

Our pup had a fantastic time getting to play and interact with other dogs and people, especially while he was allowed to be off-leash. Without a dog, we would not come back. It was a great spot for us to get a meal and for our dog to socialize and play for a bit. Thus, very dog-friendly, though we were not impressed.

    Great atmosphere

We had a great time at Hops & Hounds with our pup, Oakley! They had live music, great drink specials, and Oakley loved his puppuccino. They also had a menu of dog beer and special drinks. We weren’t sure about the off leash area cause Oak had never been to a dog park but he loved interacting with the other dogs and exploring. We came here on our last night of vacation but wish we would’ve found it sooner to go more than once!

    Awesome spot!

This is a great spot to hang out with your dog! There have both a large and small dog park area for off-leash play, and you can clip your dog's leash to the side of the tables in the outdoor seating area. Water buckets and dog beds are readily available as well. They consistently have fun drink specials and flights, and host lots of events and live music on the weekends. Their menu is delicious and you can order dog-safe food, drinks, and treats for your pets as well.

    Built for dogs.

Some places allow dogs. Hops & Hounds was built for them. Kip was able to make some new friends and play while we waited for the food. Everything tasted great.

    Best Place on Earth!

This place has become our favorite spot! So when we say we are going to the dog park, we mean we are going to hops and hounds!

The food is amazing! Drinks are awesome! and the dog park is so much fun. All the dogs we have encountered are pretty socialized and the majority of the owners are pretty good at supervising their pets closely. Our furbabies always have a blast!

    Great Place for Dog’s Lovers

We were today for lunch at 12:30 and left almost 3! Food was decent and atmosphere was incredible. The restaurant staff was pretty friendly and also the guy who was in the dog park. Plenty of water and shade for our puppies, included an special menu for them. Our new favorite place to go for sure!

    great new place!

Separate area for small and large dogs to play with all the tennis balls, lots of water and buckets for the dogs. Places to clip dog leash to on the picnic tables and fans around the covered areas. Outdoor games for the humans. Small menu but good bar food and lots of drink options. Downside is there isn't a ton of shade in the middle of the day especially in the summer
