The SAPD K-9 Unit needs your Help! These four legged officers are an integral part of our police force. The total startup cost for a new K-9 is approximately 16,000.00 dollars! This includes the cost of the dog, the training, housing, vet bills, equipment, food, and other necessary accessories like leads and collars. The Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association (CPAAA) is a local organization that works with the San Angelo Police Department in creating a positive relationship between the police department and the community of San Angelo. Because we recognize the importance of the K-9 Unit and the vital part they play in keeping our streets safer for our town, we are putting together a fundraiser to help defray the costs of maintaining and procuring a new K-9 for the SAPD. We are asking local businesses and the community for their help in reaching our goal of $16,000.00.
